Don't get there before 4pm.

Overall very happy with room and bed, but, you can not check in even 5 minutes earlier than 4pm, also they don't take cash, if you can accept those 2 thing then stay there, otherwise try somewhere else.

Just warning traveling families ahead of time

Posted Apr 14, 2014
We traveled almost 8 hrs just to be told that we couldn't stay at the hotel because we had 3 small children. Their rooms only accept 4 people that's their policy so a families of five can't stay at this hotel.

Better Than Expected

Posted Apr 11, 2014
Pros: Clean, well maintained, and well operated, room with twin queens was nice and large, surprisingly quiet
Cons: Bare bones breakfast but ok, parking lot tight, no exceptions 4 PM checkin
Location: Not far to most of the big SD attractions
Little bit off the beaten track, Very well and tightly operated, secure layout and operation, nice and clean and well maintained. Excellent for the price

Nice hotel. Great location.

Posted Apr 4, 2014
Pros: Clean room, comfortable bed. Refrigerator and microwave.
Cons: Better breakfast.
Location: Walking distance from downtown La Mesa. Great restaurants.
We stay here every time we stay in San Diego. The room is always clean and comfortable. The hotel is close to Interstate 8, making it easy to get around the city. It is also walking distance from downtown La Mesa and restaurants and shops.

Nice town, hotel was nice for the price.

Posted Apr 1, 2014
Pros: Housekeeping had good hospitality. Clean, and felt safe, very quiet.
Cons: Breakfast, front desk staff.
Front desk not so friendly, I'm still waiting on my deposit to be returned, pool was freezing, breakfast was not so great. The water would change from hot to cold every 5 seconds. I wouldn't sty there again, I have stayed in worse.

Better than I expected.

Posted Mar 29, 2014
Pros: New upgrades, large size.
Cons: Parking. I'm not sure how they would fix this issue but I had to park on the street which made me a little nervous on such a busy street.
Location: Not really close to much that I saw but you are only about 20 minutes to downtown, petco park etc.
The room was a lot nicer than I was expecting for the price. The room was very large, nice and clean and had also been updated. I would happily stay here again.

Excellent Value

Posted Mar 29, 2014
Pros: -- Exceptionally clean and quiet. -- Comfortable bed and pillows. -- Soft towels and linens.
Cons: -- Needs another elec. outlet for guest use in the room, not just in the bathroom. -- Mini-fridge should have a freezer.
Location: Close to I-8, major shopping, restaurants, SDSU, etc.
Checking in/out is different from any other hotel/motel I've ever stayed in: -- Arrived at 3:57, was told absolutely no check-ins before 4:00 p.m. and instructed to wait a few minutes. -- No receipt provided at check-out, so the only way to know if your CC was charged for anything is to monitor it yourself. Otherwise, everything was fine, my stay was pleasant and the staff was helpful: -- In terms of cleanliness and comfort, best TraveLodge I've ever stayed in. -- Booked extra night online, staff made arrangements so I could keep the same room.

Excellent value

Posted Mar 22, 2014
Pros: Exceptionally clean and quiet. Comfortable bed and pillows, which is important to me due to bad back.
Cons: Only two very minor negatives: no freezer in the mini fridge; and, only one available electric outlet - had to unplug table lamp for laptop and used t
Nicest TraveLodge I've ever stayed in. Will definitely stay here again and have already recommended it to others.

Good value hotel; Mgr bad at customer relations

Posted Mar 17, 2014
Pros: Very good for the price. Nice rooms and amenities. Free breakfast is always a plus.
Cons: Many parking spaces were very small & limited. Breakfast was OK but could use a boost. Day mgr has a very short fuse if he doesn't like your comments.
Location: Was only a short drive to the major San Diego attractions.
Overall a very nice stay and accommodations for a great price. The staff in general was very kind and accommodating, even when we had a water leak and they had to relocate us. However the older man that worked days, (I assume the manager), was not a people person AT ALL. Very short with you, would cut you off repeatedly while talking and then be angry if you insisted on finishing your sentence. I believe he decides what you are going to say before you say it and has already decided how he needs to handle things and then dismisses you from that point forward. Those decisive traits can be good but absolutely not when it comes to dealing with customers. Wow was I surprised and disappointed. If you see comments about people having issues here or getting kicked out of the hotel don't assume it was just a poor customer with a sour attitude. The actions of this one person certainly did reflect poorly on our entire stay.

Nice motel centrally located for our visit.

Posted Mar 16, 2014
Pros: Everything worked.
Cons: Out of 10 days, one morning waffles were available at breakfast, that was nice.
Location: It is close to malls, gas stations, thruway and the hospital.
Our stay was comfortable and the motel provided us with just what we needed for this visit. We enjoyed the WiFi service and the pleasantness of the staff.
