Basic hotel for an overnight stay.

Posted Apr 8, 2015
Pros: Beds were comfortable
Cons: some updating.
Location: Near Cal Poly and close to downtown SLO
This hotel did not meet its star rating. The sign stated a heated pool, which was not heated. The room was basic, but comfortable and relieved it did not smell like smoke. The staff person in the lobby was not very friendly. The internet information she gave me did not work either. Not a major issue for me, so I didn't pursue the subject. Nice stay for the money.

Horrible night

Posted Mar 30, 2015
Our bed was hard as a rock , our towels were nasty brown stained , there was so much chaos in the tiny kitchen area we couldn't even get in to eat . The room wasn't very clean , the pool was out of order the whole stay here was not fun and I'd never recommend this hotel to anyone !!

Overwhelming Stench of Cigarette Smoke

Posted Mar 30, 2015
Pros: The best part was the ability to have our dogs stay with us. Our dogs are indoor dogs at home and I work very hard to keep my home clean and free of
Cons: The over-all cleanliness
Location: It was directly across from the freeway entrance and off-ramp, so the traffic was heavy and constant.
The biggest problem for me was the overpowering smell of cigarette smoke in a nonsmoking room. I understand in is difficult to treat/restore a room to rid it entirely of the odor. I am also extremely sensitive to the smell. The blankets on the bed were well-worn and threadbare in some places. I also found what I believe were some dried noodles stuck on the wall next to the head of the bed closest to the door. The price was reasonable and though we didn't interact much with the staff, the contact I did have with them was fine. I have to consider that I for what I paid for each night, I should not have had much a higher expectation.

Pros: Good location.
AC unit was too loud to use on a hot evening. Noise from above and adjacent units.

Overall cleaniness

Posted Mar 10, 2015
Pros: location and price was only positves.
Cons: Needs to be cleaner and updated.
Location: Location is good. Close to down town.
Bed sheets, pillow cases, and floor was not clean. Towels were extremely thin. Very noisy, with a dog barking in a room very close to ours.

Close to freeway and plenty of eating places/

Posted Feb 21, 2015
Pros: Several eating places close by.
Cons: The bed.
Location: Lots of shopping. Downtown is close.
It was a nice stay but the bed (mattress) needs to be replaced. Appeared to be broken on one side. Other than that the stay was nice.

Don't stay at Ramada Inn, San Luis Obispo

Posted Feb 18, 2015
Pros: nothing.
Cons: The cleaning and the staff's attitude, particularly the manager A. J. Patel.
Location: I was there to visit Cal Poly San Luis Obispo for business and pleasure.
When I arrived in my room there was dog excrement behind the door, not cleaned up. Need I say more? I was put in another room of course. The worker and manager A.J. Patel had still not cleaned it up the next day when I asked. They were too lazy to clean it up, so they let it fester in the carpet all night. The bread was moldy at the breakfast station and the manager A.J. Patel blamed it on the guests! He was too lazy to check and maintain his own food station which was just feet away from his desk!
