disappointed

Pros: room was spacious
Cons: black mold needs to be addressed and the air condition repaired.
Location: shopping and restaurants
Black mold in the bathroom. Air condition did not work properly and made the room feel damp/humid. Room had a bad odor that made you choke. Not recommended particularly for anyone with respiratory issues.

We came for the weekend to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. Our suite was above & beyond what we expected. Thanks to all the staff for making the stay most comfortable.

Nice hotel with easy access to most local areas.

Pros: Security, nice rooms, and location.
Cons: Cleaning of the room.
Location: Near downtown, shopping, resturants, and has good access to other roads and highways.
Breakfast accomodations were excellent, room cleaning was pleasing but needed a little improvement. Room was nice, good space, and comfortable. Security was excellent and facilities overall were nice. Enjoyed the stay at the hotel and time in Savannah.

Not what I was expecting

We arrived in our room with an odor for first then after checking the bathroom and beds, stains were found on the ceiling like water could have been leaking from above. The windows had a cloudy look in areas and the the trim around the windows were covered in thick dust. The stove didnot work at all so we called front desk and the clerk said " ok let me call you right back",waited 20 minutes only to call back with no response. My son walked up front only to find the lobby empty and the clerk sitting down eating pizza with the maintenance guy while talking on her cell phone. 8:00 pm he discovered that he could not fix the stove so we were moved to another room. Great so we thought until we tried to use this stove only one eye worked, the dishwasher was filled with dirty dishes, roach crawling on wall, no fitted sheet on one of the beds and no toilet tissue in the bathroom. Contacted guest services again no results. Spoke with manager next morning everything was taken care of with a free night on them. Received linen next morning but no clean towels but clean wash cloths. We checked out but never will check in at this suite again.

Convenient

Pros: Nice friendly staff. Very accommodating. Laundry room, computer room and lobby were very nice.
Cons: Need more staff. Rooms can be cleaned better. need to have pool towels available during busy times.
Location: perfect location to everything. Love the location.

The room itself was ... but???

The room itself was very comfortable .... having said that, Room B207 is very noisy with extremely loud pluming noises caused by what sounds like the pump. It goes on all night and day really making it difficult to sleep. The other disappointment was dispute the fact that they had clearly spent a great deal of money to refurbish the whole hotel ... including our suite, the just painted over the bathroom door frames that had been badly damaged by a dog. Chewing and scratching it. There were still open holes in the walls as well. For a room that bills at 150.00 to 250.00 per night that seemed very cheap and lower quality than HS standards. We have stayed at many HS and useually are thrilled. Stayed at this one before too and the rooms were in need a a makeover. Just disspoonted at the shoddy quality of work.

Hotel staff extremely nice and helpful. With the hotel fully booked we didn't experience any hiccups. We enjoyed our stay and would return!!

Great Lodging

Pros: The location, comfort & cleanliness.
Cons: Better access to rooms for us "older" people!
Location: We chose to be near the mall & restaurants.
We came for the night to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Our suite was above & beyond what we expected. In hindsight, we wished that we had planned to stay longer. Thanks to all the staff for their hard work.

Great place for families

Suite was great, almost like a small apartment. Loved having full kitchen and room for kids to sleep with two TV's. Breakfast was good. Convenient location. Room needed to be a little cleaner, especially the bathroom. Otherwise it worked out perfectly for the family.

Has a few issues that need addressed

Our room,had a terrible musty moldy smell, my husband knew it was an air conditioning issue.They sent a man with a spray bottle, or offered us to leave our room for about an hour so they could bring in some type of dehumidifier. I told them we were leaving and wanted our money back,we feared getting ill. I threatened to go elsewhere and they offered to move us.They recently renovated, but forgot a few things, like old sliding doors in the room and the nasty bathtub and faucets. In the new room they put us in the smell was not as bad as the first, only a slight musty smell, so we dealt with it, the room was renovated, but again it still had a nasty tub and faucet, and there was stains of brown and black on the ceiling in a few places. Other than that, the room was furnished nicely, new bed, new furniture, new kitchen, and carpets which were very nice. They just need to complete everything and stay on top of the musty moldy smells, that is just not acceptable. The breakfast was very good, better than most buffet breakfasts.The manager needs to walk the rooms and check them out at least once a week so they know the issues. This could be a very nice place to stay if they would work on those few issues. ALSO THE POOL WAS GREEN AND WE COULD NOT SWIM AT ALL DURING OUR STAY!!!! THAT ALSO NEED TO BE ADDRESSED !!! WE REALLY WANTED TO USE IT!!!!
