Nice place to stay, close to town and the liftsPosted Apr 9, 2014
Pros: location, facilities
Cons: larger TV
Location: Easy walk to Main Street in Breck, where you can do just about anything you want. Also a very short walk to the Peak 9 lift for skiing.
Was a nice room, well kept. Nice location. For the price paid, a tiny 13-inch TV seemed a little small, though.

Serious noise issues.Posted Mar 27, 2014

For the price paid and the near-slope location (which was great), we expected a smaller room, not the best amenities, a little older, not as nice and spiffy etc... We got that. All the staff we interacted with were perfectly nice. The one major problem was that the room we stayed in was connected to neighboring rooms by a "door" that really did not exist. I think a sheet of wax paper would have provided more sound protection. Actually the door probably acted as some sort of amplification device. The gaps around the door edges are a few inches thick, so even a considerable amount of light gets in. If your neighbors go to sleep at a normal hour, you will be fine, you'll just know a lot about their lives through hearing every word of their conversations, and they about yours. If your neighbors want to party until 4 am, as ours did, you will know the ins and outs of who won their drinking games all the way into the wee hours. Called the cops twice in one night, and they were not able to do much, since the sound problem only existed in our little room that was connected through this strange noise vortex disguised as a door.

Good location, horrible experiencePosted Mar 23, 2014 on Hotels.com
It was the worst experience I have ever had. I was traveling with my 10 year old son from Florida. Needless to say, It was a long day. Check in was supposed to be at 4:00pm. Our room was not ready until 6:20pm. Mind you, everyone else's unit was ready. When we finally arrived at the condo, it had a horrible odor and the trash was left in the room. There were even leak stains in the bathroom. For the price, I would highly recommend staying elsewhere!

We were able to stay in the Tannenbaum Condo, due to an error on the size of the room, only one king size bed for 3 adults… We were directed to an other Condo, of less quality .. No hot water and more… we were told we would get a $100.00 for our troubles, still waiting...

ski boots on to leave the condoPosted Jan 21, 2014 on Hotels.com
We had a wonderful trip. I should have read all the ins and outs of getting to the condo, because you are supposed to pick up the key downtown since there is no one on property. This was my fault I feel sure. Once we got to the office it was a very easy signing in and securing key. For an unknown reason we were upgraded from a one bedroom to a 2-br 2-bth condo. Fireplace included. Enough paper products, soaps, plastic bags, and almost every kitchen utensil you would ever need! Very clean. Each condo may be individually owned but Motherlode, C-1, is great! Even though there are buildings all around this loop to the west of peak 8 base, area was serene and very quiet at night. Pool and hot tub within 50 feet for guests, staffed and well maintained. Each day we walked with boots on and trudged about 100 yards to Quicksilver lift. After a day of skiing we could ski across an ice bridge almost half way to condo! Would definitely use Tannebaum again.

Nice place close to slopes and main Street.Posted Jan 20, 2014
Can't beat the price. My parents and my wife and I and our kids had a great time. Lots of room in the one bedroom. The kitchen was great and everything was clean. Beds were a little uncomfortable but had a good nights rest.

It is what it is, especially during high season!Posted Jan 14, 2014
Pros: Staff, location.
Cons: The smell of the room and general decor.
Location: Off Main Street but easy walk to it, hot tub nearby.
The staff was extremely nice and helpful. They gave us an extra night at with a 20% discount because of the snow storm and also gave us a late checkout. The place where we stayed was called Tannenbaum II, was described as a hotel but really was just an apartment complex looking thing. Room was fine, a bit outdated, smelled stuffy and like cigarettes. But the basics worked, hot water, heat, etc. hot tub is off site, like a 10 min walk. You can definitely hear people in rooms nearby and the hotel was not on Main Street, about a 15 min walk or more if you take the shortcut behind Main Street station. I personally think it was too pricey for what it was, but it's high season so I get it and in the end we were comfortable.

Close to slopes, butPosted Dec 29, 2013
Pros: Front desk staff was very responsive and helpful (Nick)
Cons: Cleaning staff needs training
Extremely simple, sub par in anyway, black hairs on sheets, and although cheap in comparison to surrounding condos still totally overpriced. That's what happens when you book late....
