Ghetto living

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: The front desk people.
Cons: Get rid of most of the tenants
Run down, full of people we didn't feel safe to be around, kids running up and down the hallways making noise. The place was visited by 4 paddy wagons. We were just waiting for the gun shots. If you value your life, do not stay here.

Disappointed in Days Inn

Posted Sep 3, 2014
Pros: Location was convenient and the staff were nice.
Cons: Please see "Write about your experience".
Location: Location is near the Toledo Zoo, Libbey glass factory and Toledo Botanical Gardens.
Our room had some problems. There were burn marks in the carpet. The beds were extremely hard. There was a musty smell that pervaded the room. It looked like there was some previous damage to the room and it wasn't fixed very well. There were 2 towels in the room for 3 people. The pool was advertised as heated but the water was freezing and the pool room was extremely humid with a strong smell of chlorine. They need to open the room up to get rid of the smell. The breakfast buffet was very limited and not very clean. The staff were nice but the building is not up to par.

Not a place for your family

Posted Aug 24, 2014
This is an extended stay hotel. Not a family place. The front counter has a sign saying anyone staying for more than 20 minutes cannot have a refund. I assume people use this hotel for a quick "meeting". My wife wanted to exercise but there is no fitness room and she was told to not go outside because it wasn't safe. There were cars broken into the night we stayed.

Our room was not clean at all. The bathroom was so sticky that our shoes were sticking to the floor. This was the first time we stayed at this hotel & it will be the last time.

Gives days in a really bad name

Posted Aug 14, 2014
Pros: Looked like it may of had a decent place to eat at ???
Cons: New management they have to see and smell how bad this place is and nothing is being done about it. New cleaning staff no excuses for the mess
The first room we got stunk so bad with smoke it was truly horrible. We went back to the desk and talked to the lady and did get another room up a level. We went in to the second room and it really smelled musty but thought we could get some spray, then my wife pulled the covers down and there was kids clothes inside of the covers, they never changed the dam sheets or nothing. We left asked for our refund and it's been a wile now and we still haven't received our money back. It's a push of the button to make the change. I have stayed in other days inn and never had nothing like this. But it scares us to want to try any others.

Pros: Location to the Hollywood Casino and the staff
Its a great location from the Hollywood Casino, that's why we picked The Days Inn. But it was very sub-standard. And the hotel could make a mint if it invested in and overhaul of the property. Since the Casino has no Hotel attached this would and could be a perfect spot. But I would rather go farther out , even Downtown Toledo for a better room and pay a little more to be comfortable in my next stay. No, I will not be recommending this hotel to anyone !
