Pros: Close to main highway. Plenty of parking.
Cons: Quality of the water. Overall facility could use updating.
Location: Twigs was great restaurant.
Room was spacious. Pillows were too firm. Water had sulphur smell and took long time to rinse off when washing.

Pleasant ResortPosted May 28, 2015
Pros: It was off the main road and very quiet!!
Cons: "If it ain't broke..don't fix it"...
Location: I imagine there is plenty to do in that area. I was only there overnight for a Class Reunion..my "58th"..Wow, am I really that old !!!
A nice place to have spent my stay. A very pleasant Staff made me feel welcome. I was even greeted by the Gentleman cleaning the entrance door glass. It's well off the main road so very quiet at night..Dining is also readily available. The "Continental breakfast" had all anyone could want for a quick morning boost!! Yes, I will stay there on my next venture up to Tunkhannock. Jim

DisappointedPosted Jan 1, 2015 on Hotels
I was really disappointed. Bathroom and sink was dirty. Bedspread was dusty... allergies flared up. Mismatched furniture. Over priced for what was offered. They also tried to charge for a safe that I did not use. They put the responsibility on me to have the charge removed. I cannot recommend this hotel to others. I certainly will not use it again. I love my town and its businesses but not if they are in this condition.

Vintage accomodationsPosted Dec 30, 2014 on Hotels
The stay took us back to the 60's with it's décor. The beds were comfortable. The towels were skimpy. The bathroom had had repairs which were obvious. It could use more. It served our purposes. The desk personnel were friendly and accommodating.

Romantic getaway, not so romanticPosted Oct 14, 2014 on Hotels
Although it was out of your control, we had one of the rooms that was affected with the water leak. We had water come into our room, 2 hours of cleaning up outside the room as we tried to rest, we had the corner room and it was very noisy with a reception going on all night and we had no hot water. This was supposed to be a nice romantic getaway. We did enjoy our stay however some things beyond your control made it not so relaxing. We did not have to pay for our room which was nice, but we prob wont return unless we were to get a good discount in the future.

Hotel is old, used to be nice. But not now.Posted Oct 7, 2014
Cons: Invest money in renovation.
Location: Tunkhannock is really closed.
Certainly it doesn't deserve to be paid that much. At economy more comfort and renovation and it cost twice less as this one.

Only there for a night. Would go back for longer stay if rooms were updated.

Overnight stayPosted Feb 12, 2014 on Hotels
We drove 5 hours to a family event and just needed a place to sleep over and get a shower before driving home the next day. This room was okay. It was clean, everything worked and the bed was comfortable, although extra pillows and blankets in the room would have been nice. The people at the front desk were very nice and friendly. The hotel is old and it is apparent but it suited my need.

It served my purpose. It was December 10 and I couldn't close the window and there was quite a draft. I stuffed a towel in the opening and it stopped the incoming wind. I left a comment with the front desk. I have stayed here previously and have yet to have staff tell me where the breakfast is and the times as well as what I might find in the local area. checkout was just a "thank you" for turning in my room key. The food at the banquet was very good and lots of it.

Resort in Endless Mountains, formerly greatestPosted Oct 14, 2013
Location: We were in town for a funeral. There is golf, hunting, fishing, sightseeing, canoeing, hiking, historic places, etc.
The facility shows evidence of being a first class resort in the past. Our room was clean, modern, well appointed and easily accessible. Public areas had not been updated in some time. First floor of hotel wings lies on an occasional flood plain but is nicely remodeled from the last flood of 3 years ago. The doors did little to lessen sound from the hallways but our sleep was ok overall. The landscaping was great, overlooking a great golf course. Hallways were narrow and worn. It is time to remodel, replacing doorways, molding, doors, trim, etc. The nonsmoking section was truly smoke free and odor free. We would stay here again and the price was great when compared with other places in the area.
