Don't take your family!!

Posted Jul 27, 2013
If you are traveling with your family do not stay at this hotel!! The pool was closed every day. The "continental" breakfast was the pits...there was no coffee!! They went to make more but never came back!! You could make waffles but there was no mix! at all. No fresh fruit I booked a regular room and for some reason got a handicapped accessible room. I would not recommend this hotel.

NIGHTMARE IN UNION, SC

Posted Jul 22, 2013
Pros: Close to my business destination.
Cons: See above!
The experience was terrible. Ceiling plaster was falling down from a roof leak that was right over the bed. There was a wrapped burrito on the table lamp light fixture. Caked food on the microwave controls. Wash cloth had old oil stains on it. Shampoo seal was broken and had been used previously. Blankets had numerous holes ALL over them and were literally falling apart. The staff only put out continental breakfast food after we complained.

Unfriendly, worst experience we have had

Posted Aug 6, 2012
Pros: Nice big TV
Cons: Contential breakfast and unfriendly upfront desk clerk
Location: Located at Rice Ave
Clock did not work, so I had to ask for another. All they did was put the borken one in another room and give the one that was in that room. Coffee pot had stale water in it with mold and mildew in it. Breakfast, what breakfast? Waffle station with no waffle mix Coffee in their pot was cold, not even warm. At 7am there was nothing left to eat, all bagels, donuts, honey buns gone. All that was left was a couple bananas and just 2 to 3 oatmeal cookies. If they advertise a contential breafast then at least have something to eat, and HOT coffee. Gentleman working in the front office would not even speak when when we spoke to him. Twice we spoke but he did not say a word, not even good morning.

Worst hotel "Ever"

Posted Nov 29, 2011
Location: The area of the city was very accomodating and. I would recomend the area to others but not the Days Inn.
The carpet was full of stains, one was about 12cm. in diameter. Most of the stains were red in color. Only one wash cloth and one hand towel, two bath towels. It was a non-smoking room with cigarette holes in the blankets (both beds). The bed sheets were very thin. The bath room floor had black dirt stains in the corners. The outside coridors were dirty and full of leaves and trash. There was a peeling paint on the ceiling and the walls needed painting. There was about 1/4 of a roll of toilet tissue in the bathroom. The toilet was stopped up and my husband asked the desk clerk to unstop the toilet and he gave him the plunger. The furniture was dated except for the head boards of the beds and the flat screen TV. The lobby was clean and furniture in the lobby was updated. The clerk was pleasant.

Pleasantly surprised

Whenever I travel to Union, i alsways stay at the Days Inn. They have done a lot of upgrading recently. All of the matresses have been replaced. New shower rods (the curvy one) have been installed. The room was cool when we walked in (a lot of times hotels turn the air off until a new patron comes and turns it back on). The owners said they are in the process of getting new furniture. The free breakfast offered hot waffles and a variety of fruit, cereals, and bread items. The hotel used to be the Jamison Inn so it is easy to recognize since all of the Jamison's look the same.
