The hotel has been well used and needs renovation.

The rooms are very worn and show signs of the need for a major renovation

Convenient location.

Posted Dec 23, 2014
Pros: Location.
Cons: Upkeep and renovations.
Location: If you are Canadian using your cell phone, it is likely you will pick up a US signal as the Cdn towers are further away than US ones.
Stayed here for 1 night pre Christmas. The hotel has seen better days. The owners have not spent needed money on minor repairs and upkeep. What could have been done for little money some time ago has mushroomed into a need to spend serious money on a lot of minor repairs as they are about to become major renovations needed! There were even holes in the curtains, so they must have been noticed by now. Paint touch up has become a need for several areas needing new coats of paint. On the plus side the Lobby is attractive and there is a nice sized indoor pool which many rooms overlook. The Desk clerks are friendly as was our Waitress in the restaurant. Do not sit at one of the booths as the table is too high for the seating, and I am over 6 foot tall! I had the breakfast buffet, which was alright but overpriced for what was there. This hotel has a lot of potential but it would appear the current owners do not care.

excellent spot for breakfast

Posted Dec 17, 2014
Pros: Located near my Mom's apartment in Surrey.
Cons: Shower stall needed replacing - old tiles with dirty grout. Otherwise the room was great.
We enjoyed four mornings in the hotel restaurant, which is overlooking the pool deck. Jean P treated us just like old friends and served us delicious breakfasts.

OK for a very basic place to stay

Posted Dec 16, 2014
Room was huge but freezing. Single baseboard heater couldn't keep up. Cleanliness ok but very worn out place. Bed was decent. Lots of hot water. Pool very chilly & hot tub not working. Restaurant not great...served my two year olds orange juice in a wine glass like ours...guess where it ended up! With a broken glass of course. Service in restaurant mediocre, rest was ok. For the price of 89 per night we were ok with it but didn't use the restaurant after first time. Great ABC just down the road with way better breakfast!

Needs an update

Posted Dec 6, 2014
So, So hotel. Needs an update besides a coat of paint. Heat provided by small baseboard heater, not big enough to keep room at more than 50 on a cold night, luckily had two beds but only needed 1 bed so able to double up on blankets also had stains on curtains, shower head clogged and back parking lot not lit.

Tropical Stay-cation in White Rock

Posted Nov 12, 2014
Pros: Pool, hot tub, sauna, fitness room, glass ceiling, nice sheets and pillows.
Cons: Fix ice machines, provide bath robes (flip-flops too?), softer towels. Provide hours of operation for pool, fitness room, and restaurant in room.
Location: Most nearby restaurants and attractions close early. A short drive to White Rock Pier, Promenade, and Museum. Very close to USA border.
This hotel is very pink on the outside, and starting to show its age. I was disappointed that our room did not have a balcony overlooking the pool/atrium, and that there were no bathrobes for guest use. Our room was large, and the bed comfortable. Free parking! Only working ice machine was on the first floor. Front desk unable to provide a wine opener. Pool, sauna, and hot tub were excellent. Well-equipped fitness room was a nice surprise. Poolside changing-room showers are much nicer than the in-room tub/shower (larger, tiled). Restaurant is ok - and might be your only option for a late dinner, since most nearby restaurants close early. Really, this place is all about hanging out in the pool/atrium area. Everything else is secondary.

Hotel is close proximity to where I had to be.

Posted Nov 8, 2014
Pros: Easy access.
Cons: Hotel is outdated and requires repairs. When I was there, all three pop machines where not working. Front desk staff not very professional.
Location: Easy access to White Rock. Also straight down 99 to Vancouver downtown. Close to the US border.
Close to where I had to be. Easy parking. Easy access to friends in the area. Could use more coffee and towels. Looks like they are on a pretty tight budget.

Decent place for the rate

Posted Oct 31, 2014
Pros: Pool & hottub are awesome.
Cons: Pink walls inside are terrible
Location: Close to the US border
For the price, this is a good value. The hottub is kept HOT, and the pool is great. There was a small problem with my room and they gave me a free upgrade to a nicer room. It is not full service however, so expect to go down to the front desk to pick up things you made need. Its a 2.5 star hotel, but the decor is decent with flatscreen, bed was comfortable. Overall good value for price.
