Pleasing Paradis

Posted Sep 15, 2014
Pros: Close to the centre of town.
Cons: A plug for the sink in the bathroom.
Location: Close to the centre of town, the shops were easily accessible as were the transport links (train station was just down the road as was the bus stop).
Close to the centre of town, the shops are easily accessible as are the transport links (train station is just down the road as is the bus stop). This accommodation is well presented and has good facilities to hand. The staff were welcoming and gave lots of local information which made our stay in Avignon easy. The decor of the accommodation was very in keeping with the idea of a Papal seat with embroidered covers and cushions and statuary above the bed. The 'Honorary German Consulate' sign will make this stay very memorable!

Warm and welcoming B&b!

Posted May 11, 2014
Pros: The small homey feeling and the little courtyard!
Location: Close to Les Halles, Pont, and Popes Palace. Near the train station to get connections to Avignon TGV or to go local to Arles.
Within walking distance of major sites in Avignon, this hotel offers you the chance to experience Avignon as a local would. With a small kitchen we could bring home fruit, cheeses and wine from les Halle's market, three minutes away, and prepare lunch, dinner, or snacks. The owners couldn't be more helpful in guiding you through Avignon, with ideas of what to see or with sightseeing ideas.

My husband and I stayed 3 nights and loved our appartment. In our travels most hotel rooms were small so it was lovely to have a bit more room and a kitchen. It was tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean with a lovely courtyard and of course a warm welcome. Well worth the price, so what more could we wish for!

Wonderful place in a delightful city

We very much enjoyed our stay at this lovely small hotel. The owners, Sabine and Patrick, we're wonderfully helpful in every way. The hotel is located in a converted 16th century house close to Avignon's fabulous food market and an easy walk to all the town's major sights. We recommend Petit Paradis.

quaint hotel inside old city walls

Loved this hotel which was really a studio apartment with its own kitchenette. Owner emailed us helpful instructions before we arrived and gave us more hints after we got there. Location was great near the information center and town center as well to the local train station (not TGV). Would definitely stay there again

Excellent value

Posted Oct 18, 2013
Pros: Excellent location; very welcoming host.
Cons: Nothing of note.
Location: Near most attractions - museums, theatres, historical theatres.
Excellent situation within no more than 10 minutes walking distance of most of the main attractions, libraries, theatres, and restaurants. Slightly off the main tourist route but this is a distinct advantage, given the quiet location and the proximity to authentic regional French restaurants and competitively priced menus. The hotel has carefully chosen period furniture to complement the traditional architecture, illustrated in the external facades, and the winding staircase, yet the owners have not sacrificed the modern requirements with regard to comfort. But above all, the personal attention from a very friendly and welcoming host makes this a top-rated hotel, which gives excellent value for the price charged.

Great, quiet appartment close to the centre

Posted Oct 7, 2013
Pros: Central and quiet
Cons: For the price per night, I would expect a hairdryer to be provided
Location: Orange and Arles have fantastic Roman architecture and L'Isle sur la Sorgue is lovely. Also Chateauneuf du Pape for amazing wine tasting.
The appartment was perfect for a stay of 5 days. We were close to a lovely artisan boulangerie for morning croissants and also to the free shuttle to the car park Les Italiens as there is no parking outside Le Petit Paradis. All the best restaurants are a quick walk away and Sabine is happy to provide recommendations.

Lovely studio room in central position

Posted Oct 4, 2013
Pros: The position and it was very quaint
Cons: Nothing
Sabine was a lovely friendly host who helped us with directions and suggestions for sightseeing. Our room was spotless and very comfortable although we had street noise the first night
