Super run down. Was somehow put in a smoking room which was awful. It's a loud, trucker hotel.

Bound for glory, but lost my trousers.

Posted Mar 12, 2015
Pros: It is an attractive building on an attractive site.
Cons: Staff background checks or training.
Location: We stayed here to take the Island Packers boat trip to Santa Cruz Island where we searched for the Island Scrub Jay. We (12 people) are birders.
Nice place, nice appearing staff, nice room, but after a day of recreation...I came back to a burgled room. Someone got in after the room was made up and stole all my shirts, trousers, and toiletry kit. Thankfully they left my shoes, a toothbrush and some tooth paste. Staff said they were sorry, but offered not even a pocket comb to assuage my misery and neaten my locks.

Need business center and noise monitor

Posted Mar 2, 2015
Pros: The surrounding area
Cons: A business center and an ordinance for noise
Location: We basically were too exhausted to explore. However, the location had excellent restaurants and shopping.
We really had a wonderful stay at Quinta. However, I was slightly disappointed that there was no business center. I had to Ventura Community College to conduct my business there instead of the comfort of the hotel. No only that, but there was construction across where we had the room. However, it was a wonderful experience because Quinta's staff made it so and they did try to assist me with my business problem. Therefore I rate them a 5. Ofelia

The LaQuinta name has been tainted!

Posted Feb 7, 2015
Pros: The coffee at the continental breakfast and the water pressure in the shower.
Cons: Doze it and start over!
Whoa! Hold up! Am I at a LaQuinta? What a freakin' dump! Upon my arrival, I was greeted by a less than welcoming front desk. It was as though I was distracting her by asking any extra questions. Mind you, it was 7PM. I'd understand it it was the middle of the night. No explanation of what the facility had to offer. Sign this. Sign that. Oh, you have a dog? You'll have to fill this out (release about dog being on the premises). After getting to my room, I'd have to say that the dogs were probably the best guests at the hotel. As a single lady, I felt like I was walking through a men's prison. Lots of random thug-looking types, hanging out on the walkways, smoking and gawking at me and my chest. Needless to say, I checked the lock a few times before going to sleep. After the dismissive greeting at the front desk, I didn't feel guest safety was a priority of the hotel. And then there's the room....dark curly hairs on the bathroom floor, sink counter...Gross! Caked snot on the sink counter...Double gross! Toilet that doesn't flush properly and runs all night. A chair at the table that is ripped and stained...I couldn't sit on it without putting a towel down first. The bed had soft linens, but dipped in the center, making me feel like a taco. When I got up in the morning, I took my dog to pee. The grounds of this LaQuinta are just what I anticipated after the experience of the night before. Dog crap everywhere (Shame on you pet owners - perhaps if LaQuinta

Nice Hotel

Posted Feb 1, 2015
Pros: Nice free breakfast. Friendly staff. Check in easy.
Cons: Internet access in the rooms needs to be moved to where you can find it and not hidden behind the nite stand.
Location: Beach,ventura marina,restaurants.
Hard to find rooms because the numbers our next to each room and also not located where you can tell if you are in the right part of the hotel when looking for your room so hard to see them while driving.

Terrible! Filthy rooms and unsafe.

Posted Jan 21, 2015
Location: The location has easy freeway access without its noise being a problem. That is the only thing positive I can say about the hotel.
Do not stay here! Our family uses La Quinta hotels frequently and expected this location to be consistent. The bathroom was disgusting. The exterior parking lot lights, staircases and pool area are all on a timer. They shut completely off in the early AM hours... so dangerous.
