The LaQuinta name has been tainted!

Posted Feb 7, 2015
Pros: The coffee at the continental breakfast and the water pressure in the shower.
Cons: Doze it and start over!
Whoa! Hold up! Am I at a LaQuinta? What a freakin' dump! Upon my arrival, I was greeted by a less than welcoming front desk. It was as though I was distracting her by asking any extra questions. Mind you, it was 7PM. I'd understand it it was the middle of the night. No explanation of what the facility had to offer. Sign this. Sign that. Oh, you have a dog? You'll have to fill this out (release about dog being on the premises). After getting to my room, I'd have to say that the dogs were probably the best guests at the hotel. As a single lady, I felt like I was walking through a men's prison. Lots of random thug-looking types, hanging out on the walkways, smoking and gawking at me and my chest. Needless to say, I checked the lock a few times before going to sleep. After the dismissive greeting at the front desk, I didn't feel guest safety was a priority of the hotel. And then there's the room....dark curly hairs on the bathroom floor, sink counter...Gross! Caked snot on the sink counter...Double gross! Toilet that doesn't flush properly and runs all night. A chair at the table that is ripped and stained...I couldn't sit on it without putting a towel down first. The bed had soft linens, but dipped in the center, making me feel like a taco. When I got up in the morning, I took my dog to pee. The grounds of this LaQuinta are just what I anticipated after the experience of the night before. Dog crap everywhere (Shame on you pet owners - perhaps if LaQuinta

Nice Hotel

Posted Feb 1, 2015
Pros: Nice free breakfast. Friendly staff. Check in easy.
Cons: Internet access in the rooms needs to be moved to where you can find it and not hidden behind the nite stand.
Location: Beach,ventura marina,restaurants.
Hard to find rooms because the numbers our next to each room and also not located where you can tell if you are in the right part of the hotel when looking for your room so hard to see them while driving.

Terrible! Filthy rooms and unsafe.

Posted Jan 21, 2015
Location: The location has easy freeway access without its noise being a problem. That is the only thing positive I can say about the hotel.
Do not stay here! Our family uses La Quinta hotels frequently and expected this location to be consistent. The bathroom was disgusting. The exterior parking lot lights, staircases and pool area are all on a timer. They shut completely off in the early AM hours... so dangerous.

Convenient to other primary venues.

Posted Dec 30, 2014
Pros: See above.
Cons: See above.
Location: N/A.
Location central to my needs, so that was a plus. However, if there had been other accomodations I would have compared for the best choice. Reasons for looking elsewhere: bathtub needs to be replaced. Wi-Fi useless for typical business needs re downloading and uploading speeds. Television programming less than what we typically expect...no pay-per-view latest movies, etc. Nightstands need to be wiped down with a clean wet cloth to remove water glass rings, drink glass rings. I suspect typical guests haven't complained about these things, an indication of the class of traveler staying there.

Nice location

Posted Dec 21, 2014
Pros: The rooms were clean, the bed was a king size and very comfortable.
Cons: Dog friendly but not all dog owners picked up after their dogs.
Location: It's was close to our children but also close to shopping. I enjoyed just how close the freeway was.
The check in was quick and the young lady was very pleasant. She explained our options well and was able to give us rooms that would meet our needs. We travel with my mom and it's nice to have her close to the elevator and us. The breakfast was good. Nice variety and the fruit was always fresh and tasty. I was disappointed that our keys failed to work on two different days. We were told not to keep them near our cell phones or credit cards so we kept them away but a day later they again didn't work. The second time I was a bit annoyed and the night clerk was not very cordial. I was thankful for the original clerk and her friendliness.
