bad hotel with bad service
let me try to keep this short. Restaurant closed, no breakfast even so paid upfront for it. No room service, extra charge $15. Room heater not working right. No refund for early check out (guess too many like to do that!). Only good thing is the location close to the ski lifts.

dont waste your time
My boyfriend and I booked this hotel because it was ski-in/ski-out...wrong, no one bothered to tell us that they weren’t open for skiing at the time of our stay. On top of that, their resturant, and bar were not open either. We will definitely take our business to elsewhere next time

Not impressed, but cheaper than anything in downtown.
Not very convenient due to construction and traffic congestion. Pretty dirty room comparing to a 3-star Comfort Inn.

Base of Buttermilk
My first stay at a hotel in Aspen and it was a pleasure. I regret that I only had one night to stay and that that one night involved dinner with friends at their house.

Room awful but good breakfast
Room was a dump, curtains held together with safety pins, bathroom dirty and shower wrapped in duct tape. Only good thing was the free breakfast buffet.

Off season not a good time to go
We arrived at the resort during off season; no breakfast and lots of maintenance work being done. The room was clean and for the most part the staff was friendly and helpful. But having the windows to our room covered over with paper and tape so they could paint was awful and we were told that breakfast would start after we left. In fact breakfast was available the day after we arrived but we had to find this out for ourselves; no one told us. I would go to this place again but would ask about maintenace and such before I registered.

Worst Bed Ever
Though the location was great - ski out to Buttermilk Ski area - the room was very marginal. There was mold on the bathroom walls around the tub and stains on the carpet. The worst aspect was the bed - it seemed like a four hundred pound man had slept in it for months - no back support, huge sag in the middle and uncomfortable lumps. For the price paid, this was a terrible accomodation.

Our stay was very pleasant, helpful front desk personnel, convenient breakfast room. We would stay there again.

Average Hotel
The hotel was overall okay, nothing to brag about. Nice rooms, comfortable bed. Overall impression is that it is getting a little run down. Clueless, unenthusiastic staff.

Basic Accomodations
There isn’t much to remark about this hotel- positively or negatively. It was clean and accessible, if a little lacking in style. It is outside of the city center, so you must drive (and park) if you want to do anything in Aspen.

Excellent Time Great for Beginners
So convenient. Buttermilk Mountain lifts are behind the hotel. Good free breakfast with view of lifts and mountain while eating. Staff was very friendly. Nice shuttle that was more like having a personal taxi. You never had to wait more that 10 minutes for them to pick up or dropoff. Only thing I didn’t like was there wasn’t central air. Wall unit heat was real dry. Still, I had an excellent stay and the convinience was the best.
Traveler's tip on recreational activities
In March a lot of the shops discount their snow gear. So wait til you get here to buy your gear. I got a lot of stuff 30-40% off.
