Will never go back!

No hot water. They shut the water off one day. Beds very uncomfortable. Dirty rooms. Staff very rude. Cable TV went out everday.

For the price in that area, it was not bad.

Towels were samll, scratchy and rough. There was a coffee maker, but no cups. The bed and pillows were good. Things were clean, but dated. As I was only there one night, it was adequate. The "continental breakfast" was lousy boxed donuts.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Great nights rest but...

We had asked for a non-smoking room. The first room we were given was surrounded by smoking rooms making this practically a smoking as well. The manager kindly moved us. The second room was MUCH better in terms of clean air. I went to turn on a lamp but nothing ~ no light bulb. Hmm. It was during the Olympics but we could not get NBC - several channels were snowy. Tried checking email but evidently they were having trouble with their internet connections. Needless to say, we couldn’t do much but it was a comfortable bed and quiet. We both slept very well.

It reaked of pee.

When I first checked in to the hotel I thought it was going to be nice. The people were very polite and there was no hassel with getting my room. When we opened the door to the room it was a whole diffent story. The first thing that hit us was the disgusting smell of urine. The next was all the unfinished work in the restroom. There was no cover on the light, and there was rust. The next morning I went to the continental breakfast and the machine was out of juice and there wasn’t much to call breakfast so I went out and bought something. The next morning they were painting the floors outside the room (we didn’t know this) so when my friend walked outside to get stuff from the car his shoes ended up pink. When we started packing up and searching to make sure we didn’t leave anything, my companion found a baby diaper under his bed. This was my first time hotel experiance as a young adult with a friend and a very dissapointing one at that.

Not impressed

Firstly when we arrived we were told that our booking was cancelled because we had arrived a day late. However we had called the hotel the previous day and was told that would be fine. Secondly the receptionist was rude and unhelpful when we asked her for a name of good take away places, she said she simply didnt know. Thirdly breakfast is supposed to be served until 9am. However they do not refill the one canister of coffee and at 8am we were told they had ’run out’ of coffee and it was the same the next day. Overall, not very impressed

Traffic or crappy hotel?

My friends and I stayed at this hotel thinking we could take the Metra to downtown Chicago rather than dealing with the traffic. I think I would have rather dealt with the traffic. We stayed in a non-smoking room that probably smelled worse than a smoking room. There were disgusting stains on the mattresses, walls, and ceiling. The bathroom looked like it got cleaned maybe once a month. Yuck! At least there was a complimentary breakfast, which wasn’t much. It was in a tiny section of the lobby, room for a couple of people and it gets crowded easily. They were out of coffee and donuts, and had hardly any other variety.

Needs a remodel and clean up

Had dirty walls and shower, had a hole in the wall next to the sink area, air would not cool down the room enough, had to request extra pillow three times before I finally got them, had to talk to a manager to get them. Was not at all happy with the condition of the room or the service at the desk.

Not a good place to stay

That Days Inn is not an Inn, worse than a Motel.

Decent place for the money.

The room was very clean and comfortable. Outside the rooms the parking lot was rather dirty and littered. The breakfast area was too small for the size of the motel. But overall this was a decent place to stay for the price paid.

The room was run down, but nothing major was wrong. Good for a place to sleep for a night, but not comfortable for a long stay.

Not a good Motel! Terrible bed it is ok for one night but after that you will want to find a better suited place to stay

A place to stay on route

Located in a place near the city. It is a good place to stay the night. Seems they lack maintenance personnel, because when there was a problem with power in our room the alternative was moving to another. Conditions in new room were far better. Not many options on TV channels. Front desk personnel did the best to serve well.

Traveler's tip on dining

The restaurant located by the side of the hotel is good.
