Dont stay here

Despite making a reservation they would not let me check in until 3:00 PM. When I did finally get a room the cardkey wouldn’t open the door. After getting another key that worked I found out the phone in the room didn’t work. I was moved to the room nextdoor where the phone there didn’t work either. ;

BEWARE OF THE BUGS

WHEN I WENT TO MY ROOM, I OPENED THE DOOR AND THE SMELL THAT CAME OUT THAT ROOM WAS THE WORST,GOOD THING FOR LYSOL. AS I SIT ON THE BED, I HUGE BUG CRAWLS ON ME,SO I KILL IT AND TAKE IT TO THE FRONT DESK TO GET MY ROOM CHANGED,OK, THE SECOND ROOM MUCH BETTER UNTIL I GO INTO THE BATHROOM TO TAKE A SHOWER,THE LINEN WAS SO DINGY AND HAD OTHER PEOPLES HAIR STILL ON IT,SO I CALLED DOWN TO THE FRONT DESK TO HAVE FRESH LINEN BROUGHT UP, AND THE LADY AT THE DESK SUCKED HER TEETH AS IF I WAS BOTHERING HER.SO I MADE A COMPLAINT AND THEY HAD THE NERVE TO SEND ME TWO ONE NIGHT STAY VOUCHERS IN THE SAME HOTEL,NEVER.

FIRST THING TO ASK WHEN BOOKING A ROOM IS,WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME THEY RENOVATED.

Clean up a bit

The room was not clean at all. Although it was a non-smoking room, it reeked of smoke and/or mildew. The door was filthy, with grubby handprints everywhere. There was mold in the shower (which produced not-quite-hot water), and there was toilet paper on the floor. It was conveniently located within walking distance to a few eating places. The ’gym’ was a regular room with the bed taken out and 2-3 workout machines thrown in.

Will go back for great service!

The friendly service and help of the staff was enough to make me completely satisfied and willing to stay at this hotel again. I was in unfamiliary territory and needed directions to the grocery store, nearby gym, etc. and the girl on duty that checked me in not only provided me directions but also gave me her cell # to call her if I got lost. She said that she would possibly not be on duty anymore when I called but she didn’t mind a call anytime on her direct cell. Great service that exceeded my expectations.

Disappointing

The staff was friendly and helpful. However, the room smelled, the tub was horribly stained, the air conditioner was lame and I will never stay there again.

No hot water

While they’ve spent some money getting the place back into shape, they missed the boat on basic stuff. No hot water. I took 3 showers and needless to say they were UNCOMFORTABLE! Otherwise, great location, great price. Maybe it’ll all be fixed by the time I go through that area again! Good luck.

Okay for the money

Not very impressive in any way, but for the cheap price and the little amount of time I spent in the room it was about what I expected.

Extremely Dirty

I was pretty disgusted by the entire experience. The bathroom had a ridiculous amount of dirt and hair on the floor in the corners and along the edges of the wall. It looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned in a very long time. There was a dirty washcloth hanging on the shower curtain when we arrived. The mattress was hanging off the frame of the bed. Sometimes had to kick the bottom corner of the door in order to open it. The hallway in front of our door seemed to be the late night phone booth for people on their cell phones. This is the second Ramada that I’ve stayed in recent years and both were very dirty and run down. This one was in Greensboro, NC and the other was in Durham, NC.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

It was cheap. If you’re looking to save a few bucks and don’t mind living in other people’s filth, this is the place for you.

Bathroom filthy, darkly lit parking lot

Aside from the filthy bathrooms and filthy windows, the entire Inn was dark and unwelcoming. My roof top luggage carrier was stolen in the night. The car was parked right in front of my room door. The management was less than caring. For the amount of the items stolen, I could have stayed somewhere nice.

Overall Nice Place

I recently stayed at the Ramada Inn Conference Center in Greensboro for 3 nights. Overall I was very pleased the hotel and the service. My room was clean and very comfortable. Housekeeping was very friendly and came each day to ask if I wanted the room cleaned and supplied clean towels. The only negative was a bad smell in the hallway. Overall a nice place and I’d stay there again.

Traveler's tip on dining

Lots of restaurants in the immediate area ranging from fast food to really nice dinners.

I knew the price was cheap, I was disappointed with the overall condition of the Hotel.

I knew that the hotel was less expensive than some to the others I’ve stay in. I was disappointed that the conditions of the hotel were not up to date. The tv’s were old models, the refrigerators/microwaves seemed used, not clean and the decor in the rooms were out of date. The windows had condensation that stained the windows, so you couldn’t see through them. Continential breakfast was available but the food was keep in outdated appliances. Not very appealing. Juices were diluted. However, when I complained about the air-conditioner in my room being too loud, we had to turn the volume up on the tv just to hear it, the management immediately gave me another room. They were friendly and accomodating. Moral: You get what you pay for.

My Stay

The hotel staff was not friendly. The first room smelled of urine, the lights did not work, and the remote to the tv did not have any batteries. When given another room it was ok but definitely would not stay at this hotel again.

I wanted to upgrade

My initial impression was everything I expected it to be for that class hotel. Being on the highway side of the building was annoying. My complaint is that house keeping forgot to clean my room one day. I told the front desk about it and they said I wasn’t the only one. Nice. So I told them if the house keeper complains there was no tip left behind that she would now know why. On the plus side, the stay was cheep and local to where I needed to be. The shower worked well.

A Third World Roadside Hotel

When did Ramada become a third rate hotel chain? I have stayed at Ramadas in other areas around the country and this one is the worse by far. I attend a conference in Greensboro every year and will not be staying here again. The rooms need a make-over, the two ice machines were out of ice and no mini-fridge in the room, and the wifi-connection was like using dial-up. The best thing Expedia can do is to drop them off their list of hotels in Greensboro. There are plenty of other hotels in this same area that better places to stay.

Traveler's tip on dining

I do recommend eating at Smokey Bones located just up the street. Seating was quick, service was great, and the meal arrived fairly quick.

Comfortable but no frills

The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was clean but this was a no-frills hotel. The breakfast (included) was very poor, and unappealing. The staircase leading to the second floor was closed off because it was visibly falling apart. The light bulbs were not all working, and the desk was not easy to get by phone, but the location was good, the room was quiet and the price was right for what I got. I would stay there again, but not have any expectations of luxury!

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Jake’s Diner is nearby, on exit 214 and has a great breakfast at a very good price.

Satisfactory for the price

The continental breakfast was surprisingly varied and well stocked. The room was adequately furnished and comfortable for the price. My major objections were a very dirty/sticky desktop that hadn’t been really cleaned in a long time and the most convenient wall lamp did not function.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

I enjoyed driving via the backroads to nearby Burlington to visit the old wooden carousel in their charming city park. Especially great for kids/families.

would not recommend

Hotel was old and dingy, especially the bathroom; lamps were missing bulbs; air conditioner noisy (unless you bang it), room was not very clean, and poor lighting by the closet and sink. I would not stay there again

Very Dirty Room.

I’m not really sure where to begin. When we walked into the room it was noticably not vacuumed, there was crumbs, dirt, etc on the carpet. When I picked up the Ice bucket, the entire bottem of the bucket was sticky... I was very disturbed by that. Once in the bathroom it just got worst. There was a noticably dirty wash cloth folded and left for the next person to use. There was hair on the toliet and in the shower... not to meantion on my towel. The bathroom floor hadn’t been swept, the tub wouldn’t hardly drain, and they had fixed a hole in the bathroom door but never painted over it. The pool was to be open, yet it was empty with a bunch of nasty stuff in the bottem. I would have had a better trip had I slept in my car.

Simple but no Frills

Nice hotel, if you want to get off the road for the night, but maintenance looks to be a little lack luster. One morning there really wasn’t a lot of hot water, and the Towels were worse than sandpaper.

NOT IMPRESSED

The breakfast was not that good. Not a lot of variety. The security locks on the doors were not secure. Some of te guests were very loud and the hotel did nothing about it.

Ramada Inn- Greensboro, NC

Once I finally made it to the hotel, I procedded to checkin. Upon checking in, I was informed that the room "I thought" I booked was not available. I was traveling with my 4 year old daughter and my fiance. I requested one room with double beds. They only had one room and it was a single room with only one bed. So I my entire family slept in the same bed on the first night. The next day I went downstairs to inquire about changing my room and the receptionist was nice enough to change my room with no problem. She gave me the keys and told me I can check out of my old room and just return the keys the next time I exit the hotel. This was fine with me. Eventually my fiance decided that we wanted to move our things to the new room so we could take a shower and relax. As we walked into the "new" room it was a nightmare. The beds were not made, there was beer cans, soda bottles and trash everywhere. Whomever was in the room had a major party or was just a slob. Either way the room was not cleaned before they issued me the keys. I wlaked right out of there and when I went to the receptionist to tell her about the room, she looked at me like I was crazy. The manager had to come and personally take me to a room to make sure it was up to my standards. In conclusion, I did not totally enjoy my stay in the Ramada Inn.

Do not go to Ramada Inn Conference Center Location: Greensboro

We reserved the room several weeks in advance. Upon arrival they did not have a room like we reserved. They send us to another room. This room had not been clean, what a mess. Put us in another non’smoking room. My husband went to Bathroom, we had to call maintance to unstop toilet. Bed time came around, pulled covers back and under the bed in plain sight was cigarette butts. Was told when called to front desk for an extra pillow and blanket as guest book indicated and was told we had to come and get them.
