If you are looking for location go there, BUT...

*The valet parking damage my car. During my stay of one week they couldnīt solve the problem, after 2 weeks at home I have not heard from them even if the front desk supervisor promise to call. *Breakfast buffet is expensive and poor, service slow .The place smell to spicy Japanese food including halls located on high floors. *The hotel is for conventions, meeting, packs of people and service according to that.

We recently stayed at the Hyatt Regency. It was wonderful! The staff was very friendly. The room was very nice and comfortable. Lovely stay!! Can’t wait to go back. Starbucks in the lobby. Great shopping across the street with wonderful restaurants.

Great open air shopping center across the street. Great dining also. Pink Taco was very good and great atmosphere.

Very nice, conveniently located hotel

Me and my wife honeymooned in Southern California and we spent five days of our trip in the hyatt in los angeles. It is very convenient in terms of local attractions like hollywood, rodeo dr, etc. and also not too far from the beaches as well. The hotel was immaculate and had a very nice modern design inside and out. The only thing I can really complain about is the valet parking, which cost more than 30 dollars a day and was always very congested and took a little while to get your car. Otherwise it was a great hotel in a great location.

Hyatt Regency Century City, the best

This was the second time we stayed at this hotel. We love it, the staff is kind and helpful and the rooms are so clean and pretty. The lobby is beautiful and the outside is so relaxing and nice. They don’t miss a beat from soup to nuts they have all the luxury you need to have a fantastic stay in L.A. We will be going back next year and staying there. From the valet opening the car doors to carrying your bags when you leave, you feel special. We love there.

Rent a car and buy a map and just see everything that you are interested in. Don’t forget to have tea in the evening on the back veranda, it’s so lovely.

Nice hotel - good location

This Hyatt is a bit old but still very nice. The staff is very friendly - and above what should be expected. The pool area is very good for relaxation during a bussy LA vacation. Is in a good LA location with short stints possible to the beaches, Universal and Hollywood.

Pleasnant place to stay in a busy area

Overall the Hyatt was a really nice place to stay. The staff was cordial and helpful, the food was pricey, but worth the cost. The Hyatt is a bit tricky to get to, if you don’t know the area, but it is a great start point for a lot of activities. My only complaint would be the bed, when I saw the sheet of plywood under the mattress I knew it wasn’t going to be a good night’s rest. Overall though, it was worth it.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Maps, study them before you go. It helps to get around when you don’t know an area.

JUST DONT DRINK THE WATER

Stayed 5/08/09;5/10/09 Hyatt Century Plaza;Overall Hotel very clean;All staff very friendly;Double bed room we stayed in seemed kinda cramped;Really thought room would be bigger as we were at The Hyatt;View from room was a office building,parking garage,and a 10 story up view of the pool;My biggest shock came on day 2 when my friend from CA arrived and asked "wheres the bottled water";When I told him I had been drinking the water from the faucet;He replied "You dont drink the water down here";Im thinking great Ive been drinking it for 2 days;Had to order bottled water from room service;Not kidding cost was 12$$!!! for 1 bottle of water{Not including tip};Even better when the water arrived;I had to ask the gentleman who was delivering it;"Do you drink the water out of the faucet";His response was"No sir I only drink bottled water";What is up with this;One would think water coming out of the faucet at The Hyatt Regency Century Plaza;IE; A PLUSH HOTEL would be safe to drink;Apparently water in Southern CA is not safe to drink out of the faucet;Which still has me wondering;

Would Love To Stay Here Again

We have stayed at several Hyatt hotels in different locales (i.e.Cancun, Auba)and have always been impressed with the service and amenities. Hyatt Regency topped them all. We felt like we were VIP’s the whole time. We loved the Regency Club perks, especially the all you could drink Starbucks coffee and the fancy snacks and appetizers served throughout the day. Our double room on the penthouse level was very spacious. The room service staff were wonderful, as was our dedicated hotel concierge in the Regency Club. The staff at the reception desk were not as friendly as everyone else, but the hotel itself made a great impression on us.

Traveler's tip on recreational activities

We loved the VIP Tours outing to Knott’s Berry Farms Amusement Park. The day is so fun if you like rides and attractions. The concierge arranged the trip for us, it couldn’t have been simpler for us. Knotts Berry has more than just big rides, if you have little kids they have Camp Snoopy, but also really high speed thrill rides. We were dropped off at the park when it opened at 10 and weren’t picked up until 6:45, which was a nice amount of time to do and see all that we wanted.

Wonderful Experience

The hotel was amazing. The best hotel by far that I have stayed in. The only thing that there no street parking by the hotel so we were forced to pay for valet parking which was $33 every 24 hr period plus tip with in & out privileges and they had a self parking area that cost $24 every 24 hr period with no in & out privileges. So you pretty much have to pay for valet because we have to tour all of L.A. but other than that the hotel was great.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Don’t touch anything in the fridge, they charge you all types of fees and if you remove it and try to put it back in the fridge, a censor goes off and you get charged for it even if you don’t eat it and you can’t put any of your own food in their fridge so good luck.

Great Hotel - Great Price

I loved this hotel. It is conveniently located close to shopping, Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills and North Hollywood. The hotel itself has a spectacular gym and spa (the smoothie bar is awesome) and the rooms are beautiful, the beds comfy, and the staff very helpful.

Absolutely perfect!

We were at this hotel when Obama won the election, and hadn’t known it would be where a huge election night party was being held. It was wall to wall people all over the hotel, including the ballrooms in the basement, the main floor, and outside. Despite all the commotion and partying, service was prompt, the staff was exceptionally courteous, and the hotel was immaculately clean. I heard later that 17,000 people were there at one point, but the hotel had obviously done very good planning and put on tons of staff. We had a blast! Our entire stay was perfect; the food, the room service, the staff, the location, the comfort, the outside area to meet with people or just relax; I’ll be staying there next time I go to L.A.!

Traveler's tip on dining

Experience the breakfast buffet-it’s fantastic and the dining room staff is excellent, too!

Excellent Location, Great Accomodations

Overall a very nice stay and a hotel staff practically falling over itself to take care of you -- of course, you are *paying* for that level of service. Only two drawbacks I can think of: The almost completely automated room service system meant I was delivered six pillows @ 11:00pm one night when I hadn’t ordered any, and the delivery woman found it hard to believe I didn’t place the order (after all, why else would the computer have designated my room number?); even in the penthouse the noise from the outside restaurant 19 floors below could be loud, so I had to use earplugs to block out the sound while sleeping. A great location, though, and for anyone familiar with LA this is a very nice area of the city.
