Sofitel LA 2010
The Sofitel is located in a great location. It is possible to take oneself on a walking tour of the area even though the streets are big, wide L.A. streets. Third St is close by as are Melrose and Santa Monica. The neighborhood in between the big commercial thoroughfares is also interesting. The hotel was quite nice. It has a full time concierge who is knowledgeable. The restaurant in the hotel was excellent even though I got the impression that it may not be so hot with locals. The bar scene is quite lively. The room was beautiful, and the service could not have been better.

A really nice facility but stay away from any room facing out to the main streer as the night time noise is unacceptable.

Great hotel in the heart of the city
The Sofitel is a lovely hotel right across from the Beverly Center. The hotel is a lovely European style hotel with an active bar and excellent restaurant. The location is great. Many excellent restaurants near by. I like The Little Door on 3rd. The beverly Center has fantastic stores like Gucci, Chanel, Montblanc and Dolce and Gabbana. The rates are fair, but parking is expensive.

Very nice hotel
In town for business travel. This property is everything one would expect from a high-end hotel. Modern, attentive staff, good location. The room was updated and comfortable and the overall stay was excellent. I travel to many hotels during the year and this property ranks very highly. I am not a Sofitel "rewards/loyalty" memeber as I am with Westin and Marriott and with that said, I would still select this property on a return visit.

The hotel has been beautifully renovated, and the rooms are spacious and accomodating. The hotel staff is friendly, courteous, helpful and available on a moments notice.

Charming, Luxurious and Great Location
The service was excellent, the room was small, but luxurious and comfortable. The location can’t be beat, with Beverly Center just across the street. Don’t miss the shopping at Montblanc, Louis Vuitton, etc. Restaurant tip "The Little Door" on 3rd Street, Charming and yummy!

Can’t wait to go back!
My husband and I stayed at the Sofitel for our anniversary, and it was by far one of the best mini vacations we’d ever had. Everything about the stay was wonderful! Looking forward to returning.

nnot impressed
Front desk was horrible. key cards didn’t work couple times. Garbage left in the room for 3 days. Bed sheets never changed until the 3rd day. Housekeeping opened our door without knocking twice even though we had no disturb sign on.

A jewel of a hotel in Beverly Hills
Beautiful boutique hotel perfectly located in Beverly Hills. Close to shopping at the famous open air Grove and Farmer’s Market as well close drive to Rodeo Drive. Fantastic open air restaurant on site, Simon L.A.

Sofitel Beverly Hills - Pur Service Excellence
Service on highest levels! Were extremely satisfied with the whole stay, best of all we stayed in the last 5 weeks in the US. Very nice rooms, great food for breakfast and dinner (we haven’t had lunch there), and excellent service from A-Z.

Check out The Grove - nice outdoor shopping center 5-10min away by car. Close by is another shopping center with nice shops. Also: Many attractions close to the hotel (Rodeo Drive, Hollywood Blvd etc).

Nice hardware....but staff need to learn to say sorry
This is an excellent hotel in many ways. Well located and fairly well up to the 4 star style that I think Sofitel do so well. I would stay again as value for money it is excellent. However, in common with so many US hotels and airlines, everyone seems more prepared to argue with you over the facts when you make a polite complaint about a small matter that has not gone well. A sorry is more than enough but has never been heard here.

Perfect location for doing all of L.A.!
We nailed it with this hotel,knowing nothing about L.A.-location,distance to sites,safety of neighborhood.This is the perfect hotel to do all of L.A.-Hollywood,Santa Mont.pier,Getty,Rodeo Dr.Had no car-You can walk many places and bus system(the Metro)is great-can call on cell from anywhere,get directions to closest bus stop-Take advantage of DASH bus-25 cents.This hotel has perfect fitness/steam rooms;take advantage of spa-get penetrating warm rock massage.Staff was super nice and helpful-loved dan at the door;Don’t rely on the concierge-they did not know anything-I answered what they couldn’t with FROMMER’S CALIFORNIA guide-go buy it!

Great central location
Hotel staff great! Killer view of hollywood hills. All of the things that attract you to LA were close by and many withing walking distance.

Nice new design
This hotel has been redesigned since the last time I was there -- very modern and an excellent hotel. I love the secluded pool, and almost had the gym to myself. They do make you pay for internet service though, which I think should be free now!

I had an excellent experience at the Sofitel hotel, from the door man, the front desk, housekeeping, the gym, the restaurant. I highly recommend this hotel...Sofitel gets a A+++ excellent rating as being world class and I have travelled all over the world....
