One of the best in Acapulco!!! A nice hotel to depart with your family. Beautiful pools, the rooms are very clean, go out for dinning there are many great options outside, much cheaper than inside the hotel. We all had a lot of fun!!!!

Nice stay...with a hitch or two

Let me first say this is a nice hotel, if a bit dated. I stayed at this hotel about 10 years ago and not much has changed. Things they need to upgrade in the rooms: every room needs wired or wireless internet access. Don’t advertise you have high speed internet access if its not in every room of that type. Also, don’t offer an alternative of dial-up...this is a joke to us who book a four star hotel. My laptop doesn’t even have a modem port. I wanted to stay in a "Pearl" suite at this hotel because they advertised it as having a luxury such as this, but the lady at the desk told me none were available due to renovation? Why am I harping on an LCD TV? Because I wanted to hook up my computer to it to watch some DVD movies I brought. Anyway, I got a nice Jr. Suite with a great Golf Course view until I started hearing a loud tapping noise coming from the windows. Apparently, one wall of windows (I had a wrap-around terrace) was detaching at the top and was banging against the foundation when the wind gusted. No problem...just get another comparable room or downgrade and get compensated right? Wrong. I got a nice Ocean View room (with an internet connection this time - great!), but no compensation for the difference. Getting compensation from the hotel was futile, and finally after several calls and over an hour with Expedia on the phone, I got the compensation I was looking for. They need a process in place for this. Anyway, the stay was nice overall...where’s all the Americans!?

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Join the Fairmont Presidents Club if you want free internet and gym use...its free to join. Too bad few will tell you that up front and would rather charge you for these items.

A bit expensive for what it offers

This place is quite old though really well located within Zona Diamante. Meals are really good. The room, very clean, but looks old in general. If you do not have ocean view, then the view to the golf court is nice but you have to keep in mind that you hear the noise from the main road that is close by, which might be annoying in the mornings. Staff personnel is very kind and helpful. If possible, it is advisable to have breakfast included in the originial booking since getting it appart is expensive.

Traveler's tip on dining

A wonderful place for having dinner outside the hotel is Restaurant Kookaburra. Romantic place located in a nearby hill with a beautiful view to Acapulco’s main bay.

One of the best in Acapulco

I have known the hotel for many years and I can say it is definitely still one of the best in Acapulco. The rooms do seem kind of old but they are fine if you are not extremely picky. The pool areas are great and very well kept. My only complaint is that they no-longer offer free self-parking. This used to be free up until last year but now there is a quite expensive fee for self-parking. Oh, and if you are a Wi-Fi user, this service is offered for a daily fee but only in certain areas of the hotel (???), rooms that don’t have Wi-Fi coverage offer "dial-up" internet service (I did not efven know that this still existed!). All in all, a great hotel. Recommended!

Traveler's tip on dining

Go out for dinning. There are many great options outside, much cheaper than inside the hotel.

Good hotel but this time the room was terrible

We have been there many times and we are usually very satisfied with the service and rooms ,but this time for the lowest rate we had the worst room. It was not remodelated, there ants near the tv set and there was a dirty band-aid stuck on the bathroom tub during all of our trip. It is a nice place but all of the rooms should have the same cleaning conditions, no matter the rates.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

There is a big supermarket 3 min from the hotel, you can save money buying bottle watter, magazines and chips outside. In the hotel prices are really high.

Great moments

It was my second time there. Great hotel! My children loved the beach as well as the pools. Hotel overall is clean and quality of the service is quite good. No doubts that I will return there! My only disapointments were that I need to pay to use the gym; and to use the golf infrastructure is very spicy. For new travellers I suggest to check and ask a room has broadband connection and refrigerator (as there are many that does not have).

Nice hotel but hold on to your wallet

Nice hotel but Internet is $ 14 dollars a day additional if your room is equipped to get it . Ours was not ! Use of the work out room is extra too ! The Hotel was nice but when you pay that kind of money for a 5 star Hotel the normal amenities or necessities should be included so either work it out up front and make sure Internet is available in your room and package. Also the check in line was over 1 hour long ! They need a better system after a long day if travel.

Acapulco Princess - Hotel was great but mysterious charges were not!

Gorgeous Hotel...no complaints except for mysterious, unexplainable fees upon check out. We were told they were "use fees" to use conference rooms that our company had alrady paid for. We disputed that, then the fees suddenly turned into "3rd guest" fees...was all very irritating. Turns out, this was very common occurance with alot of the other people we were traveling with too. Some people argued and charges were removed; others were charged.

Traveler's tip for business travelers

all amenities you would need are at the hotel

Beautiful Place

It felt like paradise. Lush grounds w/flamingoes & swans. Clear pools and right on the beach.

Traveler's tip on dining

Our favorite place for afternoon cocktails/dinner was the Palapa Bar near the Pearl Tower. Reasonably priced food (we loved the seafood ceviche & marinated seabass) in a gorgeous setting watching the waves crash and the sun set---while a 3-piece band played local music. Great place when you get tired of the buffets.

Top of the line service

The Acapulco Princess is a beautiful hotel with highly skilled staff. I attended a conference with a large number of attendees and still felt that personal level of service with each interaction from the front desk, to the pool and beach side wait staff to the housekeeping staff. They know how to treat you well. I was able to relax and have fun!!

Amazing Beauty

The hotel has a very open air design to it that takes advantage of the wind blowing off the ocean to cool the public areas. The beach was beautiful, although the waves were rough. The hotel stay was very attentive not only at the front desk but also in the restaurants.

Spend your money wisely. Surely better options out there..

This hotel is almost 50 years old. They have not remodelled many rooms. We found bugs you would expect only in a 1 or 2 stars much cheaper accommodation. Try anywhere else. This is certainly not recommended.
