Cant wait to go back, Austin best hotel

Wow!!! This place was awesome. My husband and I traveled with us and 4 kids. We stayed in a King room with pull out couch. This Hotel was like staying in an actually apartment. It was so nice and comfortable. The kitchen was very large and had everything we needed. It also has WiFi. On top of that you get a full buffet breakfast everyday and dinner (Soup and Salad) M-thurs for FREE. Also Mon-Thurs you get Beer and Wine for FREE!!!!!! This place saved us so much money! :) The staff was great!!! Very nice and helpful. Great Price too!!

For extended stay, I’ll always come back here.

I love this place. I usually stay here when I’m in Austin for a week or more because there are generally vacation rates which make it a MUCH better deal than surrounding hotels. The staff has always been extremely courteous, the rooms are big, the wifi works, and the breakfast in the morning is terrific. And a happy hour with complimentary beer, wine, and food? Come on! This is service and amenities that would cost WAY more in normal hotel chain. My only wish was that the bedding was more comfortable. The beds themselves are fine, but there isn’t much there in the way of blankets, and it’s hard for me to fall asleep sometimes. This place is far and away my favorite place to stay in Austin, and I recommend it to everyone.

A great value!

I was attending a conference at the Norris Conference Center. Northcross Suites was literally just across the parking lot... it couldn’t have been more convenient ! It’s is an apartment setting... but I loved it .. and liked having a kitchen and a separate living room with a couch, etc. It was clean... and comfortable... and I thought it was a real bargain. There’s a grocery store a couple of blocks away.. and several moderate restaurants within walking distance. The staff was always helpful and very accomodating. Ants appeared in the kitchen one morning... but that was my fault.. I left food on the counter. Be careful to put things away and package them up and you won’t have a problem. I’m going back again.

A One Bedroom Apartment

I was pleasantly surprised to discover that this "suite" was really a one-bedroom apartment. Large living room, full kitchen (including plates, utinsels, etc.), bedroom, and bath. I will return my next trip to Austin.

Love Northcross

Has been a home away from home for my wife and me for over ten years. Wouldn’t stay any place else.

Great Hotel for Price

this hotel wasn’t what I expected based on the picture provided online but turned out to be a cool place anyway. The breakfast was awesome and the staff was super nice. I reccommned this place to anyone on a budget.

Traveler's tip on dining

My only tip for dining is to make sure you stear clear from a little chinese place called China House (something like that). Its real close to the Northcross suite and tempting for a quick meal but it is so not worth it. Unless you like eating garbage...

good for a weekend or a week

Rooms were suite type, with 2 tv’s, full kitchen, and very similar feel/look to Residence Inn.

Traveler's tip on dining

Close to a nice place/sports bar, about 1/4 a mile..Grocery and liquor store about 1+ mile away. Easiest accessed by the "1" vs. the 183.

Pleasantly Surprising

This place took us by surprise, it actually looks like an apartment complex and we thought we were in the wrong place. Eventually we went through the office and noticed that it looks like an actual hotel. My review is based mainly on my 2nd room. We checked in and got our 1 bedroom and it was okay, except for a leak on the carpet leading into the kitchen, but we were only going to be there for 1 nite. We were out the entire day and returned @ 2 a.m. and after we got into bed we noticed the air was not working anymore. We called down to the front desk and he immediately suggested another apt. and we were very very satisfied, we were not in a 2 bedroom and very comfortable and clean, even if it was only for a couple hours more. We would stay here again. Oh and the buffet was great as well, lots of choices and for the four of us it was a big savings.

Will Stay Here Again

Room decor needs updating. Although comfortable and clean the rooms are rather dark. Amenities very limited, should add more bathroom comforts (more towels, bath products, lotions...)Grounds need repairs and better landscaping. This is our 4th stay at this hotel and we are always pleased with the quality of the breakfast, price and staff is responsive. Recent udating of the lobby area looks great...We plan to be Austin again for Christmas and will not hesitate to make reservations and tell other family coming to stay there as well.

Clean and quiet, nice place...

the only dissappointment was the older beds and pillows, not very comfortable, but otherwise the place was very clean, in a tucked away area, quiet, trees and shade, good breakfast. just need to updated the beds and pillows...

Great Weekend

I recently rented 2 1 bedroom suites. I met my daughter and son-in-law in Austin for a UT football game. We had pets in both rooms. The motel was pet friendly and the people at the motel were friendly. It was a family atmosphere.

Traveler's tip on dining

Great dining was close to the motel.

We stayed here because the we recieved the best price. We went to Austin to see our son and only needed a place to shower and sleep. Therefore this satisfied our needs.

I would stay here again.

This was a great place to stay. It was an apartment with much more room than a motel room. There was a separate bedroom and bath, a comfortable living area and a kitchen. The bed was very comfortable. The living room was comfortable. The kitchen was clean with lots of space. It is in an area away from traffic so it is nice and quiet. I definitely would stay here again.

Traveler's tip on dining

There are many restaurants and fast food places nearby. And there’s a Starbucks just around the corner.

Great, comfortable suite

It felt like being in an apartment rather than a hotel. Very roomy and well-stocked with everything you need for feeling at home. Full-sized stove, refrigerator, even a dishwasher. Bring your own pots and pans if you want to cook, though.

not what we booked

When we booked this room it was a king with a sleeper sofa. The sofa did not convert to a bed and nothing was done by the hotel staff to make it right.

Angry People Abound - Must Walk Like You Have Wings

The 1st stay warrants 3.5 stars: Location is great. Great bangs for the bucks. This place is nothing fancy. Basic extended stay place (it is really an apartment complex). One thing we didn’t like the 1st time was some hostile, inconsiderate guests who acted like you owe them something. Also no elevator to the 2nd floor. However, our 2nd stay, is the worst possible. In our 20 years of travelling, this is the first time somebody who complaint 3 times we walked too noisy in our bedroom (i.e. the floor is so old it’s not even sound proof). And then the toilet overflew and the disgusting water dripped downstairs. The fact that we checked in late (11pm) and had to drag our baggages upstairs and got ANOTHER noisy complaints don’t help too. The people who are downstairs are the kind of people who look like they’re ready to go postal on anybody. Did I mentioned that people parked like crabs in these tiny parking spots that our rental car got 3 dents in one single night? Beware: All air conditioners are on ground level, in front of the 1st floor units. So either you deal with 4 air conditioners rambling in front of your room on the 1st floor, or get ready to walk with flipping wings on the 2nd floor. Pick your own poison please. I think Extended Stay is a much cleaner place, more updated facility and furnishing, and the guests are more civilized. And it’s 30% cheaper than this place.

Great value

We have stayed in this hotel several times while our child was in graduate school at UT. The location was great for our purposes. Great value for the room and amenities . We will miss our trips to Austin and staying at the Northcross Suites. Child is now a graduate!

The two bedroom suite with the sofa bed works well especially with the two bathrooms.

Running toilet

The toilet in our room ran constantly with the tank periodically refilling. We reported this twice. The second time the person at the desk said that he could move us to another room, but that we were likely to have the same issue there. Otherwise the room was nice and the service was good.

Excellent Location, Excelletnt Facilities

Free breakfast and a luncheon bar in the afternoon, large spacious suites, a pool, located in North Austin with good access to 183 and 35, simply a great hotel all around.
