Good value

This hotel is nothing fancy but a good value for the price we paid. Being one exit south of busy Archer St was nice. It made getting to our daughter’s apt east of campus so much more pleasant. The continental breakfast was basic, but there was some good fresh fruit. Our experience was a positive one.

th ehotel is very close to the highway, and not enough to the downtown area: you need a car to get to gainesville. it was OK clean, besides the usual FL cockroaches here and there in the room (dead). the bathroom was clean though, and spacious. the hotel has a swimming pool and it was quiet. the complementary breakfast is NOT good...

Don’t stay here.

The room was adequate at best. The beds were made 1x per day, but sheets not changed. The AC/heat was either on full blast or not at all. The carpet was filthy to the point you left black footprints in tub when you showered. It was a place to stay when no others were available, but I would never recommend it, nor ever stay there again.

Worst Hotel ever

The person at the desk when we arrived was not friendly at all very cold person. We didn’t feel welcomed. As soon a we opened the door and the smeal was bad it was not fresh at all. We found mold on the bathroom wall. We didn’t feel safe there at all. I would not go recommend this place to anyone.

Clean and comfortable

Its nothing fancy. But, I didn’t expect it to be for the price. It was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly. Had no problems.

A Good Nights Sleep

Myself and guests were in town for the Gator Nationals and was able to get a room here at the last minute. Room was very comfortable and I would consider staying here again next year.

Excellent value for the price

This is definitely a no-frills budget hotel but it was more than adequate for our needs. We were four adults in town for the weekend for a football game and had no problems. The front desk was helpful and polite and the room was clean, though spartan. Several other reviews complained about highway noise, but we were in a room facing the highway and did not think it was bad at all. In short, not the ritz-carlton but I would definitely stay there again.

No other option

It is close to the highway, therefore expect a lot of noise. Customer service was excellent, check in and check out very easy, continental breakfast excellent. However, the lights above my bed did not work, I wanted to read and I got fustrated. Also, I found a bug behind my bed, the carpet was old and damaged. I had to stay there because I did not have another option, the hotels were full that weekend and the joy to see my son was bigger that any uncomfortable situation on this hotel.

Hotel was a regular hotel.

It was clean. The staff provided help whenever we needed it. The staff was also extremely polite. I would stay there again based solely on the staff & the cleanliness of the place.

AVOID THIS ONE!

Avoid this place at all costs! Room keys didn’t work properly. The room had very dirty carpets. Don’t walk around in your bare feet. They will turn black in a very short time! I reported a section of the carpet were you feel rotten wood underneath the carpet and actually feel like you’re going to fall through the floor! The desk clerk said it was probably the A/C leaking..... WOW, for how lond? this place should close down and do "A LOT" of maintenance!!

Travel lodge, G’ville

Stayed at this particular place because I needed to travel with my dog...rooms were OK, not the best condition, but adequate. No high speed internet access, and the house phone system didn’t work, but they had Animal Planet, so the dog was happy.

Great place for the price

For the price it was great. They came and cleaned the room everyday. It was right off the interstate and close to places to shop and eat. The pool was clean and the front desk clerks were friendly.

Mr. T’s Chop House right down the street from the hotel is a great place to eat if you like fine dining. For the service, the price was worth it. I would recommend this place for anyone.

Not bad for the price

The only thing that was frustrating was that they don’t really offer a continental breakfast, it’s just cofee and some muffins. Everything else was fine.

Scared to death

I would not recommend this place. I am a student and had to stay here because the price was good and I just moved to town and was waiting for my new home to be ready. I read some other reviews about the noise, so I requested being away from the highway side and they accomodated me, but the room was filled with bugs. One huge one that was flying around that I killed and then another smaller one that was crawling on my ceiling, so I slept with my lights on (needless to say I did not get much sleep the first night). The second night I was so exhausted that I just turned off the lights and fell asleep, but the third night was the worst. There was this huge roach-like creature bigger than my fist that came up from behind the TV and was moving around so fast that I couldn’t even attempt to kill it, I was so terrified that I fled the room and ran to the front desk, all they could offer me was another room but I was too afraid to go back into my old room because I could see the thing from the window. I seriously would’ve preferred sleeping in my car at that point. Needless to say I had spent another sleepless night at this hotel.

There’s actually a shopping center area across the street that had a bunch of little restaurants that were pretty good, like the chinese food place and Green Plantains (a carriebean place) decently priced and yummy.

Close to Oaks Mall,UF,Downtown Gainesville. Not far from Waldo Fleemarket or Ocala Fleemarket. Ginnie Springs and Ichatuknee Springs.Ther is a Supermarket walking distance.

One Time Visit ONLY !!

Stayed at this hotel on a business trip. Got no sleep due to loud noise of I-75 right outside of room. Carpet so dirty white socks turned black. Bathroom door would not close or lock. Water would not stay in tub. Seal on drain no good. Violent disturbance in room right next door involving local Jerry Springer crowd! One man tried to choke other man with his belt, a girl got her head smashed into the door, and the other man threw a tire iron through window totally smashing it!! Police had to come - I had to call them!!! Front desk very unresponsive. They did not call or come down. They did not even check on us to make sure we were OK. Hotel is responsible for the safety and comfort of ALL their guests. Would not stay here again.

Not bad if your room does not face Interstate

Very clean , a bit to noisey if you room faces the Interstate , I wold go back.

GREAT GAME WEEKEND VALUE!!!

Keep this motel in mind if you need a place to stay for the GATOR GAMES, and you will not be dissapointed. The rooms are clean and the bath area was unusually spacious. Checking in and checking out took under 90 seconds. The free continental breakfast was adequate but minimal. Don’t expect cereals waffles and all that jazz.

Across the street there is a strip mall with a bar called "Hogans". It’s a well known local place. Good, cold beer and excellent hot sandwiches.
