Good.

This lies somewhere between the ’value’ resorts and the ’moderate’ resorts - it’s laid out and built like a ’value’ resort and the rooms are nothing special; but it has a table service restaurant and sandy beaches. (it was 50 degrees though - couldn’t tell you if the beaches were any good. ;) For a *little* bit more money I prefer Port Orleans Riverside or even Coronado Springs, but the restaurant at Caribbean Beach (Shutters) was *awesome* and even worth a special trip from elsewhere.

Great family place for Disney

Hotel was very accommodating for our family needs with one 90 year old and a 5 year old by giving us a connecting room for privacy. Also the valet and luggage service was very helpful with our electric scooter rental. Playgrounds and beaches and pools were awesome and fairly convenient from any of the villages. The dining area may have been a little distant for some guests, though ours was not too bad and we had the use of a scooter for Great Grandpa and his great granddaughter to make the trek pretty easy. The garden walk was lovely over the river and wild life made it very lovely walk to the main pool, shopping and eating area. The Caribbean food in the sit down restaurant was the weak point. We had some disappointing chicken and beef dishes and spices were not to our liking. However, the fast food court was very good and after being there and getting to know where everything was it was satisfactory.

Pools and lakes make this hotel worthwhile

The main pool with the cabana bar, surrounded by a tranquil lake, really make this resort worth a visit. You almost imagine you are really staying on a caribbean island. You can relax in a hammock away from the traffic of people, or you can lounge amoungst the islanders in a fun, family atmosphere. For the most part, the room was comfortable. I did think it was strange that there was no elevator for us to get to our 2nd floor room, and we had haul our luggage up a flight of stairs. Also ladies, bring your own shampoo and conditioner. The room is supplied only with an all-in-one cleanser, and needless to say, despite the Florida humidity, after 3 days my hair felt like straw. Overall, the convenience of staying on Disney property, the comfort and quality of the room and resort, and the cheerfulness of the staff, makes thsi resort a great option for this price point hotel.

Disney

1. Hotel: The rooms were clean, however the hotel is very spaced out. The main pool, and the food court are about an 8-10 min walk depending on your location. Also they do not provide room service. Unfortunately one day it rained, so we had to walk in the rain to get food at the main center. It would have been a 5-6 min walk to the bus, then a 20 min wait, and then a 5 min walk to the main center if we chose to use the resort transportation. 2.Airline check in: They offer airline check in, however they close the counter early. It is supposed to close at 1 pm, we tried to check in, but they closed the counter early so we could not use the airline check in. 3. Transportation. Buses would come regularly about 20-40 min from the resort. From the theme parks, the time varies to about an hour. The bus stops were about 5-6 minutes away from the rooms. 4.All in all, not worth the price. Rooms outside disney are cheaper, however transportation is an issue.

Difinately Worth the Trip!

Very nice area, extremely helpful personal every where, and the Disney Express Buses really took the load off of trying to find everything and renting a vehical. I would strongly recommend the Disney Express Service, it’s free and makes the whole trip worth while! Our resort was very clean, very easy to get around and had very helpful employees. We noticed people who were not so happy with services and buses, however they seem to be in a hurry and seem like the kind who expected first class-first rate service for nothing. Even though we took advantage of the free services, we enjoyed the fact that if the buses were right there with no waiting or had to wait 5 or 10 minutes, we got to relax either way and slow down enough to really enjoy our trip. If I had a problem with anything it would be screaming children and people who push the lines to go faster. Personally, if you can’t slow down and take in the time of the fun and shows then why are you on vacation? This place had great beaches, fun boats to rent for a very reasonable price, and lots of hammocks to lay in and soak up some sun.

Great to be in a disney hotel ,but this one is too big and hard to get around in .

I enjoyed staying ion a disney hotel , but this hotel is just too big to get around . The main areas are spread apart and hard to get to unless you wait for the transportation.

Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort in Orlando

Reasonably priced hotel with all the benefits of being a Disney hotel: transportation to the parks and Downtown Disney and airport, swimming pools, activities for kids, Disney shopping on-site, plus the comfort and cleanliness you’d expect from Disney.

ALl Disney

For the money, this hotel is one of the best choices for a Disney stay. Conveniently located on the Disney Property with bus service to the parks. There is a great food court serving breakfast lunch and dinner with several choices and very reasonably priced. There is a wonderful walking path around the lake. Each village has its own pool with fun feature pool as well. Overall, a great place for families or couples on a budget.

Wonderful Anniversary Get-Away

The trip and stay at Disney World and the Caribbean Beach Resort was wonderful. I strongly advise taking advantage of the Disney Magical Express option. It took away a lot of the stress of dealing with luggage, etc., and was helpful for the return flight home. The hotel staff was courteous and the bus system to get us around to the parks and shopping was outstanding. My wife and I did not have the opportunity to take advantage of some of the amenities of the resort due to lack of time and cool weather, but overall we enjoyed three days getting away and celebrating God’s wonderful gift of marriage. We recommend the Caribbean Beach Resort. We also suggest the early part of February to get away and enjoy great pricing and smaller crowds.

Reasonably priced Disney hotel in a good location

Check-in process was okay. We were staying one night - our room was not ready until 3PM and check out was required by 11AM - it doesn’t seem right to have to pay for a night and not even have 24 hours in the hotel. The food court, Shutters, was very crowded with long lines when we tried to get something to eat. Overall, the hotel was fine - we had a lovely water view from our room and it was convenient to have the bus stop right outside the hotel, to take us to the parks.

Not impressed

Room was very small, beds were only a double size. Much too small for my tall husband and myself. I guess the room would be considered fine by Motel 6 standards, but I had expected more from Disney.

Pleasant Experience

Very nice. Staff was very helpful when we asked for a first-floor room closer to the restaurant area. Room was comfortable and quiet and very clean. Had a problem with the high speed Internet connection but their tech support people fixed it while we were out during the day. Express Checkout didn’t work so we had to stop at front desk when we were leaving but it only took a minute - no big deal. Food court is great and very convenient. Sit-down restaurant is too pricey and has a very limited menu. All in all a great place to stay in Disney World - we’d definitely stay there again.

Cold January trip but very nice stay!

It was a very nice hotel for no more time than we spent in the room. I would not pay full price for the hotel room we stayed in. There seemed to be a lot of activities for families such as the pools, water area, etc. However it was far too cold to be in the water when we visited in January

Hotel needs refurbishing.

Good price for Disney but not one of their better mid-price. Not a bad experience but not great. For the same price, Coronado Springs is much better.

Great accomodations for a reasonable rate

This was my first visit to WDW since 1972, when we stayed at the Polynesian Resort for $45 a night. Back then, Disney seemed to go the extra mile, and I have to say that it is still the case. The room is not inexpensive by my standards, but the location, amenities, and the little extra things (glass glasses, making a toothbrush and toothpaste holder out of a glass and washcloth, etc.) made the price of the room seem very reasonable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that doesn’t want to spend $300 a night. My only gripe with this hotel, and there alot of moderate to upper-end hotels that do the same, is what is up with $11 a day for internet. I left my laptop at home.

Impressed!

This resort is beautiful. The caribbean theme was very nice. Our room had a beach view. It was so nice watching my kids play in the sand on the beach. The kids loved the pirate them inside the room (pictures and bed). The room was nice and clean and the maid came religiously at 8:AM. A great benefit to staying in this resort is the transportation buses to the Disney parks. It was really nice not having to drive home at 1:AM when the parks were closing. We didn’t enjoy the food at this resort. It tastes like Cafeteria food. But there are alot of nice eateries nearby. Overall, our stay was wonderful.

Decent place, would stay again

We were happy with the hotel for the price. It was pretty much an above average motel, with tons of rooms and ppols and some added Disney frills. The bathrooms are tiny, but adequate. Overall, our stay was fine, and we had no complaints, but no real raves either.

not good as I had hoped

staff was nice but the room itself was a little under what I expected. Especially in Disney. I thought the rooms would be a little cleaner. The main area was ok but the bathroom had little hairs around the tub.

would love to go back!

Our stay at the Carribean Beach Resort was everything we expected and more. It was one of the least expensive resorts at Disney world, but our room was remodeled, there was 2 sinks in the bath, the bed was sooo comfortable and the pillows were great. The room was very clean and had lots of towels. The area to get food was hike, but we didn’t mind , cause we expected to be doing a lot of walking during our trip anyway. None of the areas was an ungodly walk and we are both "seniors" , so I’m not exagerating.. We really loved our trip and the resort was well worth the money!

Totally unimpressed

As far as the room was concerned, and the staff were concerned, I have no complaints, however, after what we endured on our arrival, which seems to be par for the course, it was brought to our attention, that no matter what we wanted to do (with the exception of the pool and beach which were not an option due to the pouring rain) we had to take a bus (including just grabbing a cup of coffee or a snack). The only food available (other than the Shutters restaurant which is tiny in comparison to the hotel and usually entails a two hour wait) is essentially fast food. After three days, MacDonald’s was looking like a gourmet meal to me. After you receive your food you have to wait on long lines to pay the exhorbitant prices, try to locate a place to sit, prepare your coffee or drink of choice and finally get to enjoy the meal (which is now ice cold). In addition, the buses which cover the interior areas of the hotel come only intermittently.
