“I would not recommend this Inn. The grounds and the outside of the building look nice but everything inside is very dated. Our room carpet was very dirty/stained and the fireplace was just a cheap plastic simulated wood that wasn't even plugged in. The breakfast offered was mediocre at best. “This place is an "undiscovered gem" along Route 1, beautiful and private, and perfectly positioned for travelers headed to Castine or Ellsworth, or farther downeast. RuthAnn and Mark were wonderful, welcoming hosts. We enjoyed spending three nights in our spacious ground-level apartment in a sunny patch in the Maine woods. Five Stars all the way! My wife and I would be pleased to stay here again.”
