“The hotel is a few minutes walk from Mallaig train station, and the ferry terminal. There are two supermarkets and a few restaurants around the village so that one can easily get refreshments. I was amazed that the hotel is in a delicate traditional wooden decor, and has a relaxing garden terrace. I also enjoyed the window view a lot! The room was clean and it’s reception was excellent. I strongly recommend anyone who plan to visit any Hebrides islands, give the hotel a chance,.”

“Very nice property, with a seemingly recently refurbished reception, lobby, and restaurant area. The staff at the front desk, as well as in the restaurant, were impeccable, courteous, friendly, and highly accommodating. Payment was, however, a bit complicated, as you could not pay at the table and instead had to walk to the bar or reception. The POS terminal was also experiencing connectivity issues. Luckily, we had some cash on us. The view of the harbour and the sea is truly beautiful.……

“Very cute little room, friendly and helpful staff, and excellent food. We didn’t roam too far for food and even came back later in our trip to come back for a last meal. They accommodated our dietary restrictions with excellent alternatives. Fantastic stay!!”

“We had a wonderful view from our room once the weather cleared up. Dinner reservations book up fast so I recommend booking in advance if you plan to have dinner there. The pub that is attached to the hotel was great. All staff were very friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and wouldn’t hesitate to return. ”

“The ground floor is being renovated, so reception is at The Kirkwall Hotel next door. So there is investment here. That being said, hopefully the rooms and floors are next. The existing building is shabby, though my small, single room was functional at best. 5'x10', plus a small bathroom that could do with new sink fixtures. The tight shower had hot water and good water pressure. Staff next door were very helpful and welcoming. Park nerely anywhere "there's no traffic warden".”
