"We arrived at 22.30 as our flight was delayed. We tried to notify the hotel as their check in closed at 23.00 but the gentle man only spoke Italian and we only spoke English. After what was a mad time trying to get a taxi, another couple who were going in our direction shared ours. This was fine by many people in the queue (highly recommended and cheaper). "A little hotel close to Sirmione. We stayed one night on the way from Milan to Venezia - very convenient. We walked from the hotel to Sirmione and back, but there is a shuttle available. Small room in the hotel, but it was enough space for us for 1 night. A safe in the room, a kettle, and a restaurant - we had breakfast there but not dinner - it was opened from 7pm. We had dinner in Sirmione. There is a grocery store nearby, 200 yards."
