If the very small parking lot within the grounds of the hotel is full, you have to essentially go on a wild goose chase around in circles literally find their overflow parking. Which is sort of sad and confusing, because it is diagonally across the street from the hotel. But because of how the roads are set up, you pretty much have to drive another 2 miles. I did write the staff five stars, but that is unequivocally for the front...

"This is a beautiful hotel and we enjoyed our 2 night stay, although I did have a couple of small issues. One was that the refrigerator didn’t work, and when I reported it to the front desk clerk, she simply replied “they don’t”. Why have refrigerators that don’t work. Also the lighting is not very good. I felt like I was trying to put on makeup in the dark. Downtown is not really within walking distance either. "

"We used a family room for a night due to an early flight the following day. The room was very large, clean, great beds and linen with good facilities. We also had a free shuttle bus service to the terminal. The only thing to make it even better would be somewhere to put cases on - the room was plenty big enough! "Beautiful place. We loved the fact that it's 799 years old, thinking about all the people that have come and gone before us enjoying the same space. Pretty grounds right on the river Dee. Old cemetery and remains of a chapel right behind for exploring. Natural beauty all around. Staff was welcoming and helpful. We stayed in a suite and everything met our expectations. Will definitely stay again. Also love that they have a vegan menu in their restaurant! 🌱💚"
