![The first record of the church is in 1258, and the oldest floor slab Memorial dates from 1496. This large church is now mostly the work of a 17th-century restoration, after the tower collapsed in 1651 destroying much of the chancel and south transept. It was rebuilt in 1658. The church is in a cruciform plan with north and south transepts, a central four stage crossing tower, nave with north and south aisles and clerestory windows, chancel, and south porch. There is also a Lady Chapel, Vestry and Sacristy. The oldest part of the church is the north transept which has two arches and an octagonal pier with fine leaf decoration on the capital. This was revealed during a restoration in 1873. The four bay chancel was refurbished around the same time, and it was extended to its original size. The north aisle was rebuilt using original material as well as the clerestory, battlements, and other parts church in 1854. The south porch was also added. There was further restoration in 1905. The church has numerous stained glass windows from the nineteenth century by several well-known artists. The west window of the south transept contains mediaeval glass, and is unusual in having two coins set into the glass. The organ was originally on a gallery at the west end, and in 1841 a new organ was placed on the south side of chancel. It was subsequently enlarged and has been overhauled several times since. In 1980 it was completely rebuilt with a new movable console. The tower has a ring of 10 bells. In 2009 a toilet and kitchen were installed in the west end of church. "Great Staff. Property is a little dated but clean,tidy and friendly. Large rooms and a great location in it's own grounds with lots of free parking. A rare thing in Nether Edge. 20 min walk from the centre of Sheffield and a good bus service as well. Lots of great cafes nearby. What is not to like."

![The first record of the church is in 1258, and the oldest floor slab Memorial dates from 1496. This large church is now mostly the work of a 17th-century restoration, after the tower collapsed in 1651 destroying much of the chancel and south transept. It was rebuilt in 1658. The church is in a cruciform plan with north and south transepts, a central four stage crossing tower, nave with north and south aisles and clerestory windows, chancel, and south porch. There is also a Lady Chapel, Vestry and Sacristy. The oldest part of the church is the north transept which has two arches and an octagonal pier with fine leaf decoration on the capital. This was revealed during a restoration in 1873. The four bay chancel was refurbished around the same time, and it was extended to its original size. The north aisle was rebuilt using original material as well as the clerestory, battlements, and other parts church in 1854. The south porch was also added. There was further restoration in 1905. The church has numerous stained glass windows from the nineteenth century by several well-known artists. The west window of the south transept contains mediaeval glass, and is unusual in having two coins set into the glass. The organ was originally on a gallery at the west end, and in 1841 a new organ was placed on the south side of chancel. It was subsequently enlarged and has been overhauled several times since. In 1980 it was completely rebuilt with a new movable console. The tower has a ring of 10 bells. In 2009 a toilet and kitchen were installed in the west end of church. "Clean modern and spacious room, unfortunately being woken by the tram rattling past continuously from early morning to late into the night wasn’t appreciated. Also the interior door being banged shut so many times during my stay that I woke up multiple times each night. Reception staff (a man with Chinese heritage) when asked if I had closed my door properly by just closing it over and not having to scan the card to exit, looked me up and down and pulled the most unhelpful face, exclaiming simply “Yeah” so unfriendly, unprofessional and discourteous. However the man at checkout and woman at check in were friendly and polite, so maybe just one person who seems to need some refresher training on the reception desk. Overall wouldn’t stay again 2/5 at best. Better hotels available in Sheffield. "

"The breakfast was great, the internet was fast, the staff were ok, and the gym was basic but adequate. The carpet in the room appeared to be old and ready to be changed, it made the room feel dirty. During my visit they were replacing fire doors so there was a bit of noise during the days but not unbearable. Very close to the trains for easy access, close to a supermarket and a retail shopping centre."

"We stayed here for our friends wedding reception but for the price of our room £151 for a night we were disappointed. Bring your own toiletries as the hotel only supply x1 of each 30ml shower gel shampoo conditioner. No enough for 2 guests for 4 showers. No fridge in room to put milk (if like me who loves her cuppa tea) or bring your own wine .hotel will charge you if you leave your empty bottles in the bin . Small Cold plates at breakfast (we had a cooked one) i did ask the waitress for a warm plate but she said they dont have a plate warmer. Overall hotel looks lovely from outside bed was comfy but im afraid to say ive stayed at some fantastic hotels but this isnt one of them Ps they will take an extra £50 from you at check in refundable if no damage to the room or empty alcohol bottles in bin. Order at the bar a large white wine + pint of cider costs £20"

"The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room itself was nice but was looking a little old and worn. It was nice to have access to the spa facilities, it would be nice if these had an upgrade, the area was looking old, worn and dirty and could do with more seating areas/areas to put belongings when using the pool/thermal areas. On the Monday morning there was a lot of drilling and banging from quite early on which was a shame as it did wake us up earlier than planned."
