The resort is not in good condition. The gulf view room was okay, but the rest of the resort is really run down. The food was not good, and the kitchen facilities, at least for the outdoor bar area, were gross. Don’t be fooled by the breakfast buffet - it was a Holiday Inn breakfast. There is no one to clean the resort. Used cups and beer cans sat on the edge of the pool all day. It’s supposed to be smoke free but cigarette butts were all over. The pool towels were tiny and dirty - basically the same ones used to dry cars at a car wash, and they were left all over the place on the chairs and ground all day and night. You don’t get much for the resort fee. You will pay for parking, and you won’t get an umbrella or chair at the beach. There are several men to chase you for chair or umbrella rental if you so much as sit on the beach, but not a single lifeguard on duty at either the beach or pool. The beach was very nice, and the pool was fun for kids. But that’s the only reason to stay there. Skip the food and get a car and drive to nearby restaurants if you decide the stay.
