Close to shopping and restaurants

Was suppose to check in on Friday and leave Monday but mother nature had other plans and it snowed closing down part of the highway in New Mexico making impossible to get there. Called Expedia to change my reservation to stay Saturday to Tuesday instead and they had to call the manager of the hotel to make the change. He said they could make the change for an extra $55. I explained once again that the highway is closed and it is impossible to get to but whatever. They finally waived the fee. After arriving back home from the trip my credit card was charged for the room twice. Got to spend a lovely 2 hours and 18 minutes on the phone with Expedia getting the second charges back. As for the hotel, we arrived at 2:30pm, check in time is 3pm. They made us wait until 3. No big deal. They have a shopping mall across the street. Came back at almost 4 and got the keys to the room, which to forever. Got to our room and it was freezing. Turned off the A/C and the heat on, only I had to put the heat on 85 for it to turn on. So our room was either to hot or to cold. Breakfast was horrible. Day 1, which was the best, they had scrambled eggs and sausage. Every morning they have donuts, breads, cereals, and juices. 2nd day was some eggs on bread with some sort of sauce on it. Did not look appetizing at all. The 3rd day they didn't have an entrée out yet so we left. Each day we had breakfast somewhere else. Nice location but the breakfast, the staff and the rooms need work!

Sorry about the extra charge but our rates are definitely different if you stay a weekend or a weekday and that was why you were being charged extra.
