Perfect location

Great hotel with friendly staff. Breakfast buffet options were basic but great at the same time, for e.g., they had the typical cereal choices but also granola! They had the typical milk and juice choices, but also almond milk. They served Seattle's Best coffee, which was awesome. Their breakfast sausages were also very tasty. The location was the best being so close to the uptown mall with great restaurants nearby (must try sushi freak). Trader Joe's is also only two minutes away.

Slow service/Not the best place for families

Had to wait several minutes just to be acknowledged when I was checking in. The woman who then got to me was not very apologetic for the wait. Room was comfortable and breakfast was good, but this place is definitely set up for business people and not families with small children.

Close to shopping and restaurants

Was suppose to check in on Friday and leave Monday but mother nature had other plans and it snowed closing down part of the highway in New Mexico making impossible to get there. Called Expedia to change my reservation to stay Saturday to Tuesday instead and they had to call the manager of the hotel to make the change. He said they could make the change for an extra $55. I explained once again that the highway is closed and it is impossible to get to but whatever. They finally waived the fee. After arriving back home from the trip my credit card was charged for the room twice. Got to spend a lovely 2 hours and 18 minutes on the phone with Expedia getting the second charges back. As for the hotel, we arrived at 2:30pm, check in time is 3pm. They made us wait until 3. No big deal. They have a shopping mall across the street. Came back at almost 4 and got the keys to the room, which to forever. Got to our room and it was freezing. Turned off the A/C and the heat on, only I had to put the heat on 85 for it to turn on. So our room was either to hot or to cold. Breakfast was horrible. Day 1, which was the best, they had scrambled eggs and sausage. Every morning they have donuts, breads, cereals, and juices. 2nd day was some eggs on bread with some sort of sauce on it. Did not look appetizing at all. The 3rd day they didn't have an entrée out yet so we left. Each day we had breakfast somewhere else. Nice location but the breakfast, the staff and the rooms need work!

Sorry about the extra charge but our rates are definitely different if you stay a weekend or a weekday and that was why you were being charged extra.

Great hotel for the price.

Location: There is a great shopping center across the street
When looking for hotels in the area, most of the nicer hotels were $50 to $100 per night more than this one. The hotel staff was friendly, helpful and competent. The rooms were clean, very comfortable beds, beautiful bathrooms and extremely nice. Although there is not a full restaurant, the lobby has an a cafe where food, alcohol and snacks can be purchased, with a seating area....great food!

Pros: access to restaurants and shopping. nice
Cons: friendlier staff
Location: good
nice hotel. usually stay there on way to someplace else. the prices going up :(

Great hotel.....location amazing

This hotel met beyond our expectations. When they say complimentary breakfast you are assuming one like most hotels but this one stands out. The breakfast is wonderful. The hotel room was comfortable. The only concern was our room was near the back end and the pigenons were loud around 6am. I would highly reocmmmend

If you want to sleep, go somewhere else...

Uh, this one was pretty bad... Let me qualify my statement. I travel at least 40-50 nights per year and I have stayed at Hyatt Place properties all over the western US. This one way by far the most uncomfortable. 1st they placed me in a room that was right next to a busy elevator. The elevator was extremely noisy. Second, they have a pigeon infestation on their window balconies. The pigeons made more noise than the elevator. If you want to sleep, book a different hotel there are several options in the area. I see a pattern when you book 3rd party with services like hotels.com. Hotels will put you in their most undesirable rooms. Generally, I find Hyatt Place to be a very nice brand, but in this case the property left a lot to be desired.
