Highly recommended. The guest room facilities here are excellent — easily one of the best value-for-money options in the area. What really stands out is the crew members, who make you feel truly at home. For guests who have just arrived, this warmth makes the experience especially comforting. Special thanks to the front desk team, Sean and Dex, for their kindness and professionalism.

Our booked room (Weiland) had a small issue with the toilet and as we arrived on a Sunday and no plumber was available, host Andrea immediately upgraded us to Ruthie’s Balcony, a suite on the upper floor in the front of the house. It’s and old building but with incredible charm. That comes with its challenges, we understand that. We thoroughly enjoyed the space, the decor, the thoughtful items for us to consume in the fridge. Andrea and Jackie were helpful and could be reached by text and phone. We also booked parking which was extremely convenient. The location is excellent. Frenchmen street is 200 meters from the house and you do not hear a thing from that direction. The French Quarter starts at the other side of Esplanade although the real activity starts around 500 meters from the hotel I estimate. There is quite some street noise from the Esplanade but it mostly dies away after 10-11 pm, but that might be different in the weekends. A lot of tours come from the French Quarter and turn on Esplanade to continue their loop. This means there is a lot to see on the balcony, which we used a lot! Small remarks (again, which mostly are understandable as it is a historic mansion): the airco has a hard time keeping the room cool at night as the drapes are blocking the flow, which means you better keep those opened. There is no ventilation in the (spacious) bathroom. The mattress was not great. We would definitely recommend and loved our 4-night stay here.

Overall, I was impressed with the room itself. It was very spacious. It came with a kitchen, which was necessary for me because I was traveling with my grandchildren. The checkout time is earlier than other places it was for 10 AM and I didn’t realize that until I was getting ready to leave. It was my birthday weekend and I was traveling with my grandchildren which makes navigating a little different the cost for a late check out is 150 and I decided to go ahead and do a late checkout because of the gravity of the situation when I pay the money, everything is virtual, you don’t talk to anyone face to face which I really did not like when you enter into the hotel there’s no one there to greet you. Everything is virtual. Some people may like it because they don’t have to deal with anyone, but I do like to be able to interact with other others after I paid the money. A person from the staff came in and yelled at us and said that we were supposed to be out. She further noted that she would be back in 10 minutes and we needed to be gone as I tried to call out to her she stormed out of the room and did not respond to anyone of us that was talking to her to let her know that we have paid the money when I spoke with someone they told me that they will call me back on Monday and which I never received the call and that they would’ve went in charge not once did they try to compensate me for being interrupted and late for my reservations that I had I would not go back because of that.
