“We had a great stay! The cabin is central to everything. Close to some great hikes and 15 minutes from Boone. We really liked the area and there were some good restaurants around. Comfortable and cozy cabin!”

“It was better in person than in the pictures. Everything worked (as it should). It was well equipped if you bought food to prepare your own meals. Clean, cozy, and close to Beech Mountain…I would stay there again.”

“This was a cute little rental that was as described. Very clean and comfortable. The staff were accommodating and very responsive. I was impressed to learn it’s been in service for over 20 years. Loved the clubhouse and general atmosphere— reminded me of family vacations as a child in the 1990s… so quaint!! Reception and WiFi is not terrific so it was a great opportunity to play games as a family and take to the outdoors. We plan to return next year. Thank you!!!”

“Overall this is a nice place. Very clean! Parking was tight, walls were thin, I could hear the neighbor upstairs coughing/walking. The bed made noise every time I turned. Don’t expect your bed/mattress from home. The fire place was beautiful and it was def a warm place to sleep. Make sure to bring money to tip the house keeper/maintenance guy(if needed). Also bring trash bag if you plan on eating anything inside the cabin. The only trash can was the small one in the bathroom. If you are looking……

“What I’m writing is not the fault of the property—they don’t control the weather—but just information for future travelers so they can plan better than we did.This is really more of a winter resort. We stayed in the summer during an unprecedented heat wave. There was one tiny window AC unit and a big ceiling fan. Both worked great but not sufficient for the space. No prob, we thought we’ll open windows at night when it cools off…except there’s no window upstairs where it’s hot. Just a patio door……
