Flapjacks and Lumberjacks by Destination Big Bear : Walk to the Lake in Boulder Bay! Theater Room! Foosball!

Flapjacks and Lumberjacks is a large family cabin located near Boulder Bay and Inspiration Point and walking distance to the lake.  This cabin with split log siding, a sunken landscaped front yard has a large outdoor table for eating a meal or enjoying lawn games.   The front door takes you through the mudroom to a newly renovated interior with views of the trees from multiple windows on the upper main floor giving a cheerful and homey feel to the cabin.

The dining room – which leads to the outside deck with peekaboo views of the lake and a propane barbecue – features a large rustic table that seats 10 and can squeeze two more with a nearby bench.  

The upstairs highlight is the long great room which is centered around the kitchen with warm hickory cabinets and a large granite island countertop that seats six.  The kitchen is calling you to make morning flapjacks and has new stainless steel appliances including a countertop gas range, double wall oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave. 

If you don’t want to play games at the dining table, the family room on the far side of the kitchen features a small oak game table perfect for a game of cards or a new puzzle while watching the VISIO flatscreen television and enjoying the gas fireplace.  Puzzles and games are kept below the coffee bar between the kitchen and the family room.  The coffee bar includes both a Keurig and standard coffee maker.

Just off the family room is the first master bedroom with a King-size bed (the “Forest Room”), a three quarter bath and a Flatscreen Fire TV.  The upper floor also features a second bedroom (the “Bear Room”) with a Queen bed, ample closet space, a reading nook.  The Bear Room has close access to the upper floor’s second bathroom with a full-size bath with a deep soaking tub.

The lumberjacks interested in entertainment can head downstairs where they will find the game room.  They can sit in two overstuffed leather chairs and read a book or watch the Flatscreen Fire TV, enjoy a competitive board game, a friendly game of Foosball, or enjoy the classic arcade console with classic 80’s games like Donkey Kong and Pacman.  There is a wetbar just outside the home theater with a projector and large screen for downloading movies or watching a movie from the DVD library.

The downstairs features three more bedrooms.  The downstairs master (the “Lake Room”) has a King bed, full private bathroom, a work desk and a Flatscreen Fire TV.  The fourth bedroom (the “Snow Room”) features a King bed, ample closet space and restroom access.  Finally, the bunk room (the “Lumberjack room”) offers a Queen bed, a Twin over Full bunk and a Twin bed with Twin Trundle and access to the deck.  Completing the downstairs area is the laundry closet with a full size washer and dryer available for your use.

Do not exceed the occupancy limit
Do not exceed the stated occupancy at any time during your stay. The maximum number of adult  occupants may be less than the total maximum occupancy. NO PARTIES ALLOWED.

No parking in street or yard
Parking is only permitted in the driveway, designated parking spaces, and garage. This includes trailers. The maximum number of vehicles permitted is on the exterior sign.

No amplified music 24/7
Amplified music is not permitted to be heard beyond the property line 24/7. Close your windows to avoid music carrying beyond the property line.  

Head inside at 10:00 p.m.
Noisy outdoor activities and spa use are prohibited from 10:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.

Take trash to dumpster locations
Trash needs to be taken to a local dumpsite. Clean Bear locations:
41790 Garstin Drive & 39690 Big Bear Blvd.

Fines
The minimum fine for violating the rules stated previously is $500 per violation. A second offense is $1000 per violation.  

Eviction
Unruly guests who blatantly disregard the rules and expectations will be evicted without a refund. In  addition, costly citations may be issued to the undersigned.
