“By the description of the property I was was hoping for an amazing experience. The house exterior looked like it was in need of clean up. It just looked like the construction crew left and no one did detail cleaning Our room was on the upper level. It was called the Star room. Apparently there was a methane gas leak somewhere, as our room, the entire stay smelled like an unflushed toilet. It was a lingering odor. We had fans in the room, which helped. The house has this lovely weather vane on……

“Host was welcoming, but accomodations were not what we expected. Propane tanks had not been filled and gray water tanks had not been emptied. Ran out of propane and toilet backed uo.”

“Very comfortable and open. Beautiful home, with all amenities-even a bbq. The pool has lights for evening swims. hammocks are in a breezeway ! Corn hole games, fishing from the dock.. kayaking from the dock. Restaurants within a few minutes walk, gas and variety a block away. Quiet street (even saw little deer) Great deck overlooking everything. Beds are soo comfortable. The host is extremely helpful. I highly recommend.”

“Barnacle Resort Stayed 3 nights at the “Treehouse Private Village” in the Barnacle Resort on Big Pine Key. I really enjoyed my stay, the property is quite nice, and very private. One of the attractions on Big Pine Key is seeing Key deer, which astonishingly wandered around the resort property several times a day. Don’t touch or feed them, very illegal, but you can get quite close, as they are fairly tame.It wasn’t clear when I made my reservation just where the room was on the property, since……
