The staff were lovely. They did their best to be accomodating, were friendly and is the main reason the property gets an overall "3" rating, rather than 1. I stayed there 2 years ago, and returned because I previously had a good experience. This time, there were a number of problems, due, I believe, to less experience or concern about standards by new management/ownership. We had to argue about getting more than one key card since my hotel roommate and I had different schedules. The elevator/lift was out for over a week, and we had to walk up 52 steps every day for that period. This was not necessarily management's fault, but every single day we were told it would be fixed. The room had a broken drawer, was missing most of the hangers, and other issues we had to point out to staff. We had just 2 towels for the 2 of us - not even a hand towel to use. Again, another issue we pointed out, and then staff graciously provided us with extra towels. Overall the room looked rundown, as did the hotel. We won't be booking it again.
