"The property feels quite dated despite charging premium rates. Its five-star designation is misleading; it aligns more closely with a four-star experience. For context, the St. Regis next door clearly meets true five-star standards and highlights the difference. That said, the food quality at Eden Roc is very good, and the villas are spacious. However, the promotional images are somewhat misleading and don’t reflect the reality of most rooms. The beach, is beautiful, and we really enjoyed spending time there each day."

"Great amenities and kind staff. A few language barriers with the cleaning staff and a few of the service areas. On property food and drinks were fantastic. Beautiful views from most locations. Recommend eating at the golf club once on the patio. The spa staff on point for all items. The workout facilities had all the latest equipment."

"Casa Don Luis was a wonderful stay! A unique little relaxed & historical, yet thoughtfully updated gem, nestled in the midst of the ever growing commercialized resorts that surround. The vibe is authentic, and the rooms are comfortable & clean. Though not necessarily quiet, the hum of local bustle that surrounds just adds to the charm. The restaurants just steps away are to die for. Pastries at Granier in the morning are a must, and dinners at Barbudo were phenomenal, with Noah being a close second. It is important to note, being a smaller niche stay there is a small price to pay in terms of accessibility. Since there is no direct entrance to the hotel for vehicles, taxis and driver services cannot drop-off/pick-up at the establishment. This is easily remedied however, by just booking everything for pickup and drop off at the TAN Resort entrance, which is the resort that surrounds Casa Don Luis and the walk to your room is only a short 2-3min past restaurants, boutiques, and a couple of small market places where you can also stop to grab quick refreshments and travel essentials. It is also unique in that Ubers cannot enter the Cap Cana entrance, for safety the Cap Cana area is very strict and will only allow registered taxis and car services through the security area. Shopping nearby is limited, however a quick 20min taxi to nearby BlueMall is easy enough, where you can find lots of great resort wear and casual eats at a much more affordable price than resort boutiques."

" The condo was very large and clean, and served as a great home base for all that Cap Cana has to offer. You can’t get any closer to the Cap Cana restaurants and amenities—they are literally at steps away! We had a rental car and used the parking garage, which was very convenient and easy to access. Communication with the host was great. She provided a lot of information about the condo, the area, and thorough check-in instructions. There is no beach nearby. You’ll need to drive to Juanillo or the beach club. But if you have a car, it’s an easy drive. There are two pools available to guests and both were practically empty while we were there. We spent some time in the pool just outside the condo and it was lovely. If we were to return to Cap Cana, we would definitely book this condo again."
