"We were fortunate enough to get a room upgrade to a Master Suite which was clean and spacious, had a jacuzzi tub on a balcony with an amazing view of the resort and partial view of the beach and ocean. The upgrade also came with Butler service. Our butler, Alan, made sure we were well taken care of, including making all of our dinner reservations for our stay. We did notice that the buildings and facilities looked a little run down. The staff were pleasant, but looked tired and there didn’t seem to be enough working in order to keep up with the number of guests. The food was okay, but the buffet items were left out too long for safe consumption. It is best to hit the buffet as soon as it opens. The pools were clean, spacious and lovely, although it could be challenging to find a lounger sometimes by the quiet pool (the elite pool sat mostly empty which is a waste). The party pool with the swim up bar looked like it was enjoyed by many but is not my scene so I avoided it. The beach was beautiful, with plenty of loungers. The only downside was the volume of sea grass in that area. Crews came to clean it daily, and there were control barriers in place, but it was still an unpleasant presence while taking a dip in the ocean. Overall, we had a pleasant and relaxing stay. The master suite made it even better. "

"This resort is definitely family and kid friendly. They even have a little daycare area in the main buffet restaurant. The rooms were always maintained clean. Most of the staff was super friendly and made sure you were well taken care of but that was only when they noticed that you are a good tipper. The entertainment at night was great and fun! The bathrooms around the resort are spotless. However, we requested a King size bed for both rooms and received double beds. In the main pool, you would find bird droppings in the actual water while swimming. The rooms at night were actually really warm and the lowest setting was 68 degrees. I do not see myself going back but, it was a nice experience."

"Everything was so amazing! My wife and I went for our honeymoon and we loved every bit of it! I will say bring plenty of cash for tips and such or get some pesos at the beginning of the trip and use those first, but besides that the food 10/10 for most things, the service 10/10 I highly recommend getting the excellence club level rooms, it’s so worth it! Fransisco at check in/ checkout was awesome in the club, Emanuel at the martini bar along with all of the staff are just so friendly and inviting we had an absolute blast! If you’re a fisherman bring some of your gear! Thank you Excellence El Carmen! We will be back! "
