"Pros: Amazing location. Door and security staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Shower was hot and powerful. Cons: Reception staff were terrible - we had the unfortunate luck of having to deal with Alex several times and he was disinterested and frankly quite rude. For the price of the hotel, additionally charging $4 an item to store bags after check out is really taking advantage of travellers with no other option. Rooms are ok, tired. No tea/coffee making facilities, not even a water glass in the rooms, we had one plastic cup to share between 3. Overall would expect more from the Hyatt brand."

"best location to go uptown & downtown manhattan. Penn station is next door if you go to Washington DC, Flixbus is one block away if you go to Phlky or Toronto."

"Really pleased with Hotel St James. Sometimes a lottery with hotels in cities but this one did not disappoint. Clean and spacious room. Front desk staff very friendly and helpful. Situated perfectly to explore Rockefeller, Central Park and subway stations at hand to go further afield. Definitely return to Hotel St James. "

"There was only one elevator working for our floors. Huge lines and long waits. We ended up taking the stairs most of the time. We were on the 26th floor. I had my handicap parents with us so we had a van. The parking was 110$ every time you got your car out and brought back. It was horrible and this is not told to you on the website."

"Our room was disgusting- we had blood stains on our window curtain as well as our shower curtain and some unknown stain all over the couch. The a/c had a metal rattle sound all night The sink was clogged the hotel itself is nice but the dirtiness of our room made it an unpleasant stay "

My room was comfortable and well-appointed, with a bed that made it easy to relax after a long day in the city. The on-site restaurant offered delicious meals, making dining convenient and enjoyable. The location is perfect, right in the heart of Times Square, with easy access to theaters, shopping, and attractions. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting New York. I can't wait for my next trip, definitely booking here again!"

"Great location, friendly front desk, clean room. My only negative comment would be the hotel doors close / slam quite loudly and our floor had no carpet so that sound amplified. Maybe request to be on a carpeted floor or see if they have ear plugs."
