Book Carterville Bed & Breakfast

"The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, no complaints! By the time I got to breakfast at 8 am the garbage was overflowing and it was messy. I assume they didn't have staff overseeing it. I can't comment on breakfast as I only had coffee & yogurt but it was only typical. I wouldn't stay here again based on 2 things. The overall condition and the front desk staff person. The condition in general was a little sub par. The grounds outside looked like overgrown weeds. The wood furniture in the room was fairly beat up. The blackout curtain had several small holes. There was quite a bit of mold at the bottom of the glass shower door. Importantly, the outside door on our side of the bldg that should've remained locked, was not. It looked broken. The person that checked me in never made eye contact let alone gave a smile after I interrupted her from her laptop. Never told me about any of the amenities or wifi (password). Simply perfunctory and nothing more. After finding out that one of our key cards didn't work we went back to the desk and stood in front of her while she was looking at her phone. After waiting a several moments I finally, quietly, said "excuse me" before she responded. The stay was ok but there are so many comparatively priced hotels in the area I plan to try a different one next time."

"Stayed in 209, did not very much water pressure. Other than that was fine."

"The only way to check in was via video kiosk. There were no staff present in the building and would not be until morning. Half of the building is boarded up. The floor in the room was dirty. There was hair in the bed. The bedding did not appear to have been changed. The bathroom door was difficult to open and close. The fountain in the lobby had no water. There were hair balls in the hallways. The building and parking lot are not being maintained. Peeling paint, broken up concrete in the parking lot. I'm not kidding about any of this. I took a look around and did not stay at the property."

"Breakfast was great. Staff were very helpful. Beds and AC were less than expected."

"The accomodations were very nice, the staff was helpful and informative, and although it was a casino, the room and hallways were quiet. We were very comfortable. The pool and hot tub were also great features."

"Nice place to stay, clean and well kept. Good fresh breakfast offerings, and clean tables. Busy with a large group, so check-in took longer but that was understandable. "
