Caste Castle Hotels

Unique historical hotel with old city walls within the hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms and a great breakfast.

5TP was A++. Loris, our point of contact at the hotel was amazing. The service she provided was well above what you'd expect at the price point. From welcoming us, to her suggestions, to the check out process... flawless. She was clearly passionate about giving us the best experience. Info with directions for arrival were clear and simple. Some poor reviews mention the amount of walking and number of stairs to reach the location. Visiting Cinque Terre, one would hope there is already an...

To start communication was prompt and comprehensive. This out of the way hotel with its own private garden is far from the sounds of the city center and just a 2 minute walk from shops and dining. The room was clean and well laid out and the service was first rate. I was concerned about not having cell coverage to connect to their system, however it was not an issue. The staff are welcoming and extremely helpful

Receptionist is helpful and friendly… love the respect and cordiality..

I highly recommend this property to anyone visiting La Spezia, Portovenere or Cinque Terre. Short car drive to catch the ferry or train! House has a beautiful Mountain View, Italian breakfast was amazing, room was comfortable with a very nice bathroom but most importantly, staff was very welcoming and gave us amazing tips as to how to make the most of our short stay in La Spezia. We will be back!

Clean room and nice view

The lady in charge, so sorry forgot her name…was so helpful and kind

The room was large and comfortable. We had an amazing view of the water. The online pictures were very accurate. We had large glass doors opening out to a beautiful view and we left them open all night to enjoy the fresh air. The complimentary breakfast was quite good with a diverse menu. I would enjoy staying here again!

We booked this room based on the reviews and ratings this B&B received on Expedia. We were not disappointed with our choice. A beautiful location nestled in the hills above La Spezia. It is both a nature retreat and a great strategic location for visiting the Cinque Terre area in Italy. Its quaint but extremely satisfying as it provides a respite from the crowds and noise of the Cinque Terre tourist attraction. Located above La Spezia you have easy access via bus to train station. David and...

(We traveled 9 days in Italy during what locals called the "off season" from March 6th to March 17th, 2015). We traveled from the U.S. 88 Miglia was spectacular. The best view in all of La Spezia. The hike to the hotel took us through a nice neighborhood with cool views. The owners were so nice and welcomed us well. We took the local train to Manarola and Riomaggiore in the Cinque Terre area (very close to La Spezia). We would visit 88 Miglia again!

Beautiful location

Really enjoyed the stay here. To room was located central to everything. A 25min walk to the train station and 10-15min walk to most restaurants/ bars. Very clean and spacious.

This was such a lovely little place in Riomaggiore! The accommodations were comfortable and Andrea went out of his way to welcome us and even carried our luggage up all the stairs for us! This whole area is VERY hilly and there are LOTS of steps everywhere, so be prepared for a great leg workout!

Amazing hotel view and personnel

Amazing! Love how this place is slightly away from the center of town. The hill to the hotel was a pain but definitely worth it!

Highly recommend Pensione Sorriso for a stay in Vernazza. Evelyn was a wonderful host and went beyond expectations in helping us enjoy our stay. The hotel has a bright breakfast area/lobby and a nice patio/garden to enjoy. We stayed in a room with a private bath and balcony. Although no sea view from the rooms, there is one from the patio and the sea is only a two or three minute walk from the hotel.
