I accidently rated the wrong hotel in my earlier review so am re-sending this review as I want to make sure to give credit where credit is due. This hotel was in a great location and had first rate service. The rooms were large and very comfortable. They had a true Italian flair to them. I would ...
We had a beautiful room facing an open hall. Old, elegant architecture. Reception was welcoming. Location is central to St. Mark's, the Arsenale and other places we wanted to go to.
Metropole is a beautiful, warm and friendly hotel in a prime location. The rooms are just what you would want from a Venetian hotel - almost. Bizarrely no coffee making facilities and given the cost of everything in Venice, a cuppa in your room would be nice. Overall a great stay though.
Perfect location, Far enough away from the crowds but close enough to walk everywhere. Stephano and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are large and beautiful with great views of the grand canal. The suite is a little more but well worth the expense.
Good location, about 5 min walk to San Marco's Basilica. Great breakfast and room was clean and nice. The price was expensive for Italy around $400 per night during off season so that would be my only criticism. Advice: from train station, take water taxi (line 2) to Rialto bridge and walk 5 minutes ...
We arrived early to the hotel who happily stored our bags until our room was ready. The room and bathroom were compact (all Venetian buildings are tight for space) but ideal for two and very clean, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast offered a varied selection and set you up for the day ahead. Staff ...
The hotel was old but nice -- but the 40 stairs was really a workout every day. We overcame the difficulty of the stairs and enjoyed our stay in this quaint old hotel.
Fantastic hotel, one of the best I've ever stayed in. The morning we left was very foggy and our water taxi was not able to travel to the airport. Overnight, while we were sleeping, the hotel arranged for the water taxi to take us to a vehicle taxi so that when we woke up in the morning we had no ...
For me, what really made this hotel stand out was the quality of the staff -- at the front desk, in the restaurant, in the bar, the cleaning staff. They oozed professionalism and a dedication to service that showed in everything they did. After I checked out and left, the concierge chased me to the ...
The Savoia & Jolanda is a 5 minute walk from the Doges Palace and St Mark's Square. On the water front, it has the San Zaccaria Vaporetto stop in front of the hotel which provides an ideal start to your exploration of Venice. The hotel is very well presented and the staff are extremely helpful. The ...
This was my first time to Venice, and this hotel was an amazing surprise. This week I was in Barcelona and Rome, and I am very critical of hotels. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room....wow! 5th for double room, with quaint shutters that open up directly over the canal and bridge. ...
I think this is the best hotel in Venice! The location was absolutely perfect. The hotel was so clean and the staff so friendly and helpful! It doesn't have too many rooms so it is very quiet. The breakfast was included and was absolutely delicious. The coffee was SO GOOD. Minifridge in the room ...
