Champlain Valley Transportation Museum Tours

We stayed for 2 days on the 2nd floor, the corridor carpet needs to be replaced as it was unglued from the floor in areas.The fan in the bathroom was not working at all in our room. When we showered the room became steamed up. The cleaning staff was in training and never came to our room to give us towels. When I asked the person cleaning the rooms on our floor they said we would get towels in about an 2 hours but we never did. I went to the reception counter and Vicky was very helpful in getting us the towels. The staff was very nice but the state of the hotel it needs a refresh to say the least.

My husband and I recently spent a weekend at the Lake Placid Stagecoach Inn, and it was nothing short of magical! Before arriving, the owner Kelly, sent us a "Perfect Placid" list of the areas attractions with things to do and restaurant recommendations. So cool! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed - Kelly and her staff greeted us warmly and offered a quick tour pointing out the cozy common areas and sharing a bit of the Inn's history. The vintage accents and handcrafted furniture made us feel like we had stepped back in time. Our room (Kate Smith) was sooo comfortable, mixing rustic charm and beautiful modern amenities! Our dining experience was spectacular with seasonal offerings that support local farms and vendors. Absolutely delicious and everyone made us feel like family! The location is just minutes from everything, yet it feels like a secluded retreat. We sat on the porch and played cribbage with our wine and handcrafted cocktails. So fun and relaxing! We also visited the village shops, Mirror Lake, and biked the beautiful Adirondack Trail. Our whole trip was simply amazing... and too short! Bottom line, The Stagecoach has historic charm, 5-star dining, and a location that perfectly balances convenience with tranquility. It will warm your soul. We definitely plan to stay again!! The property is desperate need of a deep clean. We had 2 king deluxe rooms and both rooms had a strange smell. The pullout couches were very uncomfortable. And just about everything had a mystery stain. The parking situation is first come, first serve so you arrive late you have to park across the street at another hotel. You would then be reimbursed for the cost of parking at the other hotel ($25) but the machine doesn’t give receipts. So, you’re out of luck. The continental breakfast starts at 8am and it’s ok. A selection of fruits, yogurt and breads. Overall, this property is not worth the price.
