Smallest rooms

Location: The rooms are small, refrigerator is the smallest I have ever seen.
The rooms are small, the refrigerator was smallest I have ever seen. Parking is limited and access is next to a trash can that smells due to a lack of cleanup.

Overpriced

$344 for a hotel away from all things Charleston-about a mile. Asked if we could walk it and we're told in the most stringent terms while shaking their hard, "oh no, I wouldn't do that if I were you". Advertised as waterfront, we had a beautiful view of the freeway.

It is unfortunate your room was not on the waterfront side of the hotel. We do have a variety of room types at different price points, and would like to invite you back so you can experience the beautiful waterfront view. We are in a safe location, the walk would be alongside a very busy street so a short drive is a better recommendation into Charleston. Coastal views

Delightful situated on the waterfront right by the marinas. Excellent location to leave car and use hotel transport and get collected by tours at hotel front door Very willing and helpful staff Although no evening meals when we stayed the hotel is just across courtyard from Francis Marion Hotel which was excellent. Tours collected us from the door of the hotel.

Exterior is misleading

Pros: Nice fire pit by swimming pool.
Location: This hotel has a nice view of the waterfront but it is isolated from restaurants and shopping.
Nice view of waterfront but isolated. The exterior and public spaces in the hotel was nice. The front desk was disorganized. Our room was a disappointment. There was a lot of water damage in the bathroom. The door of the bathroom was swollen and drug the floor so it was crumbling up. There was mold growing on the wall between the tub and the door.

Location: he location was the main problemY
We were surprised and put-out that the restaurant was not opened for lunch or dinner.. Furthermore,we would have appreciated knowing the hoteltownwas so far from town. It was not convenient.

The hotel is very nice--modern, clean, and well maintained. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The neighborhood is safe and has a nice view. Most of the restaurants and nightlife are about a mile away, but the hotel offers shuttle service for a small fee. The only negative is that the room was fairly small (or just had a lot of furniture crammed into it). That being said, it was clean and had all the amenities I needed, so it's definitely not enough to keep me from returning in the future.
