In Chesterfield.....That's the highlight......

I have no idea why this hotel has such good reviews...... The check in process was fast and easy and the woman at the desk was very nice. I got up to the room and literally had to use my body to push the door open. I checked the door to see why it was so hard to open and the door was off of the hinges causing it to be almost impossible to open. I went back to the front desk to see about getting another room. The woman was again very nice and put me in another room (2 doubles instead of a king, not a big deal though). I get to the second room and the heat is on full blast...approximately 85 degrees in the room. I turn on the air as low as it will go. Everything in the room was worn. It all appeared to be at least 20 years old. Scuffs on all the walls, and just overall dirty feeling. The bathroom was the worst. The surround was so old that it had viable mold and mildew stains on it and smelled slightly. The vanity was in horrible shape. The bed was the firmest mattress that I have ever slept on. I did not try the internet or the TV so I can not speak to those. Summary: Ultimately, I would never stay at this location again. The staff was friendly and the location was great, but house keeping and property management are not doing a very good job at this location. They claimed they were updating all the guest bathrooms and all the common areas. My opinion is everything in the rooms needs updating, especially the beds.

xmas with family

The hotel was in a convenient area for our xmas with the family. We were there during a refurb of the hotel. The staff was friendly and the amenities were good but the room itself was under par from what we are used to with Hampton Inn. Both my wife and I were underwhelmed with the room when we got in. We both disliked the pillows and bed. Next time around we are headed back to where we previously stayed.

Just an overnight

The pool area had an odor kind of like ammonia, like maybe the air filters needed changed? It was not just chlorine. I sat by the back door with the door cracked to make sitting in there bearable. The pool itself looked a little dirty. The hotel looked clean, was orderly, but when we left, I looked under the bed skirt as I always do to be sure we didn't leave anything, and found a pair of socks, a barette, and a piece of plastic wrapping--none of which were ours. Makes you wonder. Also near highway and we had a room on that side, so there was noise.

I don’t want to be too negative because this hotel is (finally) making improvements, especially in the bathrooms which is VERY MUCH needed! Our shower could have been cleaner, there were soap splash clumps from last guest (ew!) and the shelf in there hasn’t been dusted in ages, the toilet seat was very loose, slides side to side, the sink faucet leaks, the shower faucet is stripped so trying to find the warm/hot water took forever while we froze trying! And there were cookies only one time at the desk—boo! Breakfast wasn’t very good...cold sausage all 4 mornings, eggs too. Hoping this improves quickly....we loved staying here in the past and have reservations in December!!

Horrible! Got zero sleep because of many softball players running in the halls and zero security in the parking lot. Will NEVER stay again. I asked for a refund as soon as I saw situation and was denied.
