“I rarely leave reviews, but this needs to be said. Our stay at the Oasis Hotel and Bar was honestly shocking—in the worst way. The front desk was almost always unattended, and the hallways smelled strongly of marijuana the entire time. The room was very outdated—no USB outlets, no light in the shower (so you’re basically showering in the dark), and the bed smelled terrible and was so uncomfortable that both my husband and I woke up with back aches. “About half the lamps in my room were broken and barely standing. The entrance floor was dirty. There's on-going construction and they're doing tile work from midnight till 2AM. Lost a good amount of hours due to that. When I asked to be moved a second night, the guy said he didn't have any other rooms available which is a fat lie but I was too tired to argue for a hotel room that was non-refundable. Will never stay here again. ”

“This hotel is a bit old and dated but it adds to the charm. When you first walk in it smells a bit musty - I am sure it is from the dampness of being right on the lake. The rooms do not have that smell. If you think so just open your window and your room will smell so fresh right away! We had a room with two windows - one looking towards Manitowac and one right out to the Lake. Sadly it was foggy when we were there so we didn't get to enjoy the view. But the sound of the waves!
