The manager was friendly and walked me to my room. The property grounds were clean and quiet. I would stay there again.

The staff were kind and patient. The room was clean. The location was close to many of the events and shopping.

Three or four years ago, I reserved this for my business leadership conference, and we had a great time. Not sure what's happened since then. The lodge double-booked our room that we had reserved many months in advance for the 4th of July weekend. I called two weeks prior to confirm and also reserve a golf cart. We arrived two hours early, so I asked if it was possible to have an early check-in (if not, no problem). Instead, I was met with "we don't have a room for you at all unless you want to stay in the lodge with no A/C... You can open the window though" It was a heat index of 110, so even with the mountain elevation, we're talking 85+ degrees. I had my special needs son with me, so that was not an option. They had no idea about the golf cart either, and did not offer any type of compensation for the present or future. Just a 'don't let the door hit you on the way out.' Crazy thing is- one cabin was showing on my phone as readily available that day, so I asked about a single day or two instead, and was told no, because their computer didn't show it and it didn't matter the booking system on their website did. We had driven 14 hours to get there, and a simple phone call would have been better than us getting there to find that we're SOL. Absolutely ridiculous does not even begin to cover it. We had to drive another 14 hours back home.
