"I booked this room to attend my graduation ceremony. The room was extremely disappointing. The mattresses are flat and cushion-less, and the bedding had only a sheet, thin blanket, and another sheet on top, no comforter. I get night sweats and had to have the AC on, and my daughter was freezing because there weren’t any real blankets on the bed. We remedied this by sharing a bed to double up on blankets/sheets. As for the rest of the room, it was okay. It presented as clean but there were signs that it hadn’t been cleaned well. I wouldn’t stay here again. "

"It truly is an outstanding hotel. At first I was bit iffy based on my experience from a Larkspur at a different location. When I came to the Folsom location I was immediately wowed by the plethora of food options that were conveniently located within the same parking lot. A Burger King, Indian food, Chinese food, and a teriyaki place all just a mere hundreds of feet away. There is even a movie theater that one could get to if they were willing to walk an “exhausting” 20 seconds to. I was able to park right in front of the hotel. The lobbyist was super friendly. Gave me a room immediately. Room was incredibly spacious with lg fridge, stove, and dishwasher. Everything was incredibly clean and updated. Breakfast was great to include eggs and sausage. Zero complaints and much that I could rave about. "

"Pet friendly rooms with little grass patios for your dog to use the bathroom. Cute and retro furniture. Very clean room. Great front desk service. "

"Rooms were clean, beds comfortable, has the very basic room amenities. What was terrible was the false advertising! Advertised sauna, hot tub, pool, in-room soaking tubs in all rooms & continental breakfast. There was no sauna, no large in-room tub & no breakfast. I was very disappointed."

"The air conditioner in our room made a racket of a sound when it ran. Unfortunately we needed to have it on as it was hot in the room. We needed our sleep desperately as we were there for the UTMB, so the little sleep we got, was not great as we had this crazy noise in the room. Please check your units and fix them."

"Our room looked nothing like the one in the picture. It looked much older. It was clean, but definitely dated, not like the much newer, fresher looking room in the pictures. They are clearly trying to save money by only including certain in-room amenities when requested. Our room did not have a plastic bag for our dirty clothes, and it didn't even have a "do not disturb" sign. We had to go back up to the front to request these things. On the second day of our stay, we requested clean towels and were told they were out. To their credit, they did bring clean towels to our room later in the day, but how does a hotel run out of towels in the first place? Also they seemed to be extremely short staffed, as on a couple of occasions I had to wait quite a while at the front desk to be served. And the person manning the front desk was the same person servicing the breakfast room, so at one point they had run out of sausage and it took a really long time to find the front desk person to let them know, and then an even longer time for them to finally have the opportunity to come refill the sausage. I don't blame the employee for this, they were doing what they could. The hotel needs to have more people on staff. All in all, it wasn't terrible, but we were definitely expecting a lot more based on the reviews. It was your basic, run-of-the-mill discount motel."
