“This building is one of the old hotels in Mt. Crested Butte. The rooms and suites have been sold to individual buyers, who either kept the original furnishings or moved in their own. Our room did not look one bit like the rooms in the pictures. It included two throw rugs over a chocolate brown carpet. The owners also had a Murphy bed that was not pulled down. Two old chairs were put in front of the Murphy bed. The king bed was comfortable. The kitchenette was adequately stocked with dishes and……
“Overall, the hotel's environment and facilities and staff are good, but two things make me uneasy. Firstly, the bed is wrinkled, which gives the impression that someone has slept on it before, although the quilt looks new. Secondly, the bottom of the swimming pool appears dirty, making it impossible to determine whether the water is clean or dirty.”
