"We have stayed at Allegretto for years (we consider ourselves regulars for the most part). My family owns a small vineyard in a neighboring town and Allegretto is our go-to. The staff is consistently professional, the property meticulously maintained, the rooms consistently well-appointed and clean. We have only had one less-than-expected experience. During our last visit our room was situated at a part of the property that faced an empty parking lot that appeared to be used by staff as a break area and storage facility. The room also looked to the highway. The friend we were traveling with (who is not a regular) was accommodated in a room overlooking the vineyard. Were we a bit miffed…sure. During that visit we also noted that the usually professional service and consistently well-prepared meals weee subpar. The server we had was bordering on indifferent, and while the prices had skyrocketed the servings were smaller and the product quality poorer. We will be in town on Memorial Day weekend but will stay elsewhere. Perhaps the kinks will be ironed out by the next time we stay at Allegretto. Looking forward to the kind of service and experience we have come to expect."

"Our stay at Avenue Inn was very convenient. The location is perfect—just off the highway and right across the street from a supermarket. As EV travelers, we really appreciated the options: there is a fast charger (Level 3) right across the street, and the hotel also offers private charging stations in their parking lot for a $25 fee. Check-in was smooth, and the staff were both professional and efficient. We were very satisfied with the room; it felt larger than others in this price range. A huge plus was the window in the bathroom, which provided great natural light and ventilation. A fantastic choice for anyone road-tripping through SLO!"
