Other than repeated difficulties we had finding the hotel upon returning from our daily genealogical research outings in the area, we had the MOST wonderful experience at this hotel. The rooms were well-appointed and clean. The food--both the menu and preparation--was of the highest quality (i.e., what I might expect for a large city restaurant, but found in this small town on the outskirts of Leeds). Four night stay whilst we (mother and adult son) raced about taking care of legal aspects of an UK property deal. HIEX was a clean, comfortable, welcoming place to come back to each night. We had a double room, booked through a comparison website, but a quick call to the hotel after booking arranged an additional 'rollaway' bed with no hassle and no additional charge. Breakfast was included in the very reasonable rate.
