The property is clearly advertised as having doors that open from the lounge to the outside sea front. On arriving at the property I found the doors from the lounge locked and no key available to unlock them. "We have stayed at Astor house before so we came back to the same apartment. They had upgraded the sofas to recliners which was a nice surprise. The apartment itself is easy to get to clean and Torquay town centre is a short walk away. It has a great view over the beach side of Torquay and the area is quiet. The place is clean and well maintained and the host kindly provided some biscuits and milk. I would highly recommend this place."

"The advert on the hotels.com website did not match the facts of the stay. The advert states free parking it was not it cost me £30 for the stay. We spoke to the owner who stated that the advert was not placed by him. It was the fault of hotels.com as he does not use them you get your info from a 3rd party All I know is that I am £30 out of pocket. The stay was good as I can not blame hotels.com for all the rain."

"Breakfast was great - staff were friendly. The room was clean, but hot (due to the warm temperatures outside). There was a 45 min wait-time to get into the pool due to the limited number of lifeguards."

"Airy and cool 🙌 which was much needed in the heat wave. Modern and stylish appearance. Staff were okay, nothing outstanding but as expected for what you pay. Could leave bags with them as wasn’t time to check in which was helpful. Room had good enough space and was clean. Hairdryer, coffee/tea facilities but I’d rather have a fridge in weather like this and no iron. Large shower but the shower tray didn’t drain very well at all and so it was difficult for 2 people to shower one after another and it did smell a little of damp/stale water. Lush pillows. And they provided an extra fan for the room which we were grateful for. Parking good at £10 but get there early."

"The Imperial is situated in an ideal position a 10 min walk from the harbour, our room was large and airy with the bonus of a balcony overlooking the sea. The staff were friendly and helpful whether it was reception or the restaurant or bar, breakfast had something for everyone and all eaten while overlooking the sea and harbour. It may need a little updating but it was nevertheless a lovely hotel and I will definitely go back."
