“It’s a beautiful boutique hotel and very well maintained. The staff was not informative at all upon arrival. We were not provided a map or direction of where anything was. Things were not explained. There are only two specialty restaurants and you are only able to eat at one every 3 days or you will have to pay $30 per person to eat at the restaurant. Theres only one restaurant that serves breakfast lunch and dinner and the option are limited therefore if you are a picky eater, this place is not……

“Everything was very expensive at the resort but the staff is very helpful and friendly. They make the best matcha at their coffee shop on site and also a nice latte. Restaurant was mediocre and I’d advise you to stay away from the lobster Mac. Tasted like a box brand to me. Other than that this place was very nice.”

“It was a lovely, quiet adult hotel on the south coast. The only thing that was loud was the ocean waves. Sitting in our own personal hot tub on our porch and looking out at the sea was so peaceful. The food was great with a menu from a different part of the world each night. The sargassum seaweed is unfortunately on the south and east coast of the island. “South Point Hotel was beautiful! We were greeted by friendly staff and our room was clean and neat. We had a garden view room. The gardens were gorgeous -filled with all types of plants and flowers. The beach is located behind the hotel but unfortunately the sea weed was overgrown. So we enjoyed the pool which was close to the restaurant and bar. “If you are older (60+), family with a small child, or burnt out and need a quiet no frills getaway- this is the spot. If you’ve looking for day parties and a turn up crowd- this ain’t the place. You can see the property is “seasoned” and the staff is fairly nice. I will also say - beware of going at this time of the year if you’re a beach lover - there is a big seasonal seaweed problem that happens every year and it makes the water unusable. You have to take a taxi to a beach up the west side……

“One of the few 'beach hotels' on the island -- many say they are, but you usually have to cross a road, or the beach is 'next' to the property. This is essentially a beach compound and private! The pool is big, clean, lots of seating. Lay around and watch / listen to the ocean, or use a beach lounger with free towels and lay at the ocean. “The hotel is well-maintained but terribly boring. At 10 p.m., everything shuts down and everyone goes to bed. The beach is also very small and there's algae on the beach. “This is a great little hotel hidden away on the beach about 15 min from the airport. It’s not in a tourist area, residential all around it, but it’s nicely done, right on the water, and there’s vibe is super welcoming. Rooms are basic, good wifi, good water pressure, comfortable bed, and very clean. Nice pool right next to the ocean, and there’s an all-day bar + restaurant. Sat at the bar for dinner and the food was great, big rack of ribs done to perfection, even for a Texan who knows……

“Staff was very good. The breakfast and bar service was above average. However, for 5 of my 7 day face cloth and beach towels which were supposed to be in the room was non existant. On my fifth day my A/C was dripping water and pots had to be strategically placed so water did not fall on the floor. A technician did come in to fix it and he was somewhat successful.
