“The property has a lot of rooms plus private accommodation that is part of the resort too. This results in the restaurant being overrun in the morning for breakfast. The pool is also really small considering the amount of people that can stay there. The grounds and rooms are really nice- clean and comfy, but the walls are not the most soundproof and with the amount of people coming and going we were woken up at least briefly each morning or night. Not the place for us, had more of a Bali/……

“I absolutely adored the view that came with our bungalow. Additionally the breakfast and incredible and friendly staff made the trip so worth it. We barely had to do anything on our incredibly easy check in as the amazing staff sorted everything. Staff were incredible and checked in on my partner who was suffering a migraine on our first night. Staff such as Nocy, Luke, Winter, Rose and everyone really were just incredible with no fault. The rooms were fantastic with everything that we needed,……

“Loved the fact we could have 3 connecting rooms, perfect for our family of 5. Clean rooms, aircon and fans. Beds super comfortable and a balcony on all rooms. It was a quiet property with the most amazing snorkelling spot. So many tropical fish and turtles. The marine guide was awesome too. Staff super friendly. Loved this place, we will be back.”

“Friendly staff and great communal area to relax by the pool or water. Continental breakfast was good, liked having the option to upgrade to meals/hot breakfast. Room was same as the images online, standard but you have what you need. Free shuttle between here and the Edgewater was also great.”

“Take ear plugs! The Roosters never shut up! The facilities are basic, but clean and OK. Pool is OK as long as large groups don't take over. Nautilus staff we found dismissive, Muri staff more pleasant. BBQ area is nice but the hot plates are old and barely heat meaning without an over, self catering is challenging. Good proximity to beach and great use of snorkles / kayak / reef shoes etc.”

“The room was right next to the most beautiful beach with fantastic snorkelling. The swimming pool was lovely and there was a swim-up bar where you could order drinks. I liked that guests could use The Rarotongan facilities too such as the pool, beach, activities hut and restaurant. There was a great selection of food available to eat during breakfast. The bus stop was right opposite the resort which was handy. I would still recommend hiring a car to get places quickly. My bedroom needed a drying……

“Situated in a lovely well laid out property in the South Western area of the island. 11 km from the main town. Quiet and peaceful,except for the Roosters!! Breakfast is great with a good selection of cereals, fruits and juices, breads, for toasting, plus.tea or coffee. A pool on site and a nice beach across the road. Kayaks and snorkeling gear are available free of charge. I,as a non driver, rented an E Bike and used busses and the occasional taxi which worked OK. However a car or scooter would……

“Our view was perfect, the room was cleaned to perfection each day, the gardens were gorgeous, they had enough paddle boards & kayaks for everyone to use anytime, & the food at the restaurant was delicious. Oh, and they brought us cookies every day! We will definitely be back. Thank you to the staff for making our stay perfect!”

“When we arrived we thought we’d come to the wrong hotel. It was like rolling up to the entrance of an old western motel. A gritty, broken up driveway brought us to the main entrance which had a large plain pond with nothing in it - just an unloved body of water which must have, at one stage, had a welcoming water feature, I assume. The stairs up to reception were plain concrete with grubby iron handrails. And the reception looked as if we’d arrived at the back entrance- barely any lighting,……

“Muri Beach Club is a bit of a mixed bag. The location is excellent, right on Muri Beach and within walking distance of plenty of restaurants and cafés. The staff were genuinely lovely and always helpful, and because it's a smaller resort it never felt crowded. There were always loungers available by the pool and we never had trouble getting a good breakfast table. The bed was comfortable and the complimentary kayaks, SUPs and snorkelling gear were a great bonus. On the downside, the resort is……

“We had Villa 8 which was upstairs with two large bedrooms, good sized living, kitchen and bathroom and a return verandah. It was lovely being elevated and the area was a great size for us and our two adult boys, 21 and 24. The covered verandah made for even more space. It was great to have a BBQ on site and free use of laundry facilities. We loved being able to walk down to the beach so easily. The beach is stunning and often there was no one else on it. Very easy stroll down the beach to Black……
